BBL expert tips and predictions Brisbane Heat vs Sydney Sixers

With the regular BBL season almost at a close, the top two sides in the league have the deserved privilege of battling it out for an automatic spot in the BBL final. 

Both the Brisbane Heat and the Sydney Sixers have impressed throughout BBL 13 with many online betting sites and the prospect of these two giants going at it is a mouthwatering one.

It has been over 10 years since Brisbane Heat won the BBL title but they look more than ready to right that wrong in BBL 13. 

Heat have been the side to beat this season, losing just once and their consistency has been thanks to their strength in depth. 

The likes of Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne always add an X-factor to any side but Colin Munro, Matt Renshaw and Michael Neser have all stepped up on occasion this season. 

Arguably their biggest differential this season however has been Paul Walter, the English all-rounder has contributed with both bat and ball consistently and he will be eager to put in another big showing here.

Sydney Sixers  

It has been a real season of two halves for the Sydney Sixers, who were looking in dire straits in the opening stages. 

However, they have shown real resolve to bounce back and force their way up the BBL 13 table, managing to end the regular season campaign in 2nd place. 

The Sixers have plenty of players seemingly in-form, at just the right time and Daniel Hughes at the top of the order epitomises just that. He, along with James Vince and Josh Philippe will be responsible for putting heavy runs on the board.  

Captain Moises Henriques has the ability to change the game with both bat and ball, whilst Jordan Silk, Sean Abbott and Todd Murphy are all match winners in a similar vein.

A relative unknown in Australia prior to this tournament, Paul Walter has been nothing sort of a revelation for the Brisbane Heat. 

Managing to take invaluable wickets with the ball and giving it plenty of hammer with the bat, Walter has become an integral part of the Heat’s lineup this season and another big performance from him can be expected here. 
 
Sydney Sixers: Sean Abbott 

Pace bowling may be a dying art of sorts in limited overs cricket, but Sean Abbott remains one of the very best in the business. 

With his ability to bowl sharply at the start of the innings and frugally at the death, if Sean Abbott has a good day here, the Sydney Sixers could be taking a big step towards the BBL 13 Grand Final.

The enormity of this game will not be lost on any of the players taking part, or any punters and Aussie bookmakers, with a spot in the BBL Grand Final up for grabs in Carrara. 

Topping the regular season table was just rewards for the Brisbane Heat, who were able to demonstrate consistency throughout the campaign and few people would argue they have been the best side in BBL 13 so far. 

However, they need to keep winning and they take on a Sydney Sixers side that are in fine fettle and who know that a win in this one, would see them through to the final on January 24th. 

This should be a superb game, with so much on the line but Brisbane Heat should have too much for the Sixers here.
