An Overview of PlayUp Advantages and Drawbacks

As with every bookmaker out there, TopSport is with both advantages as well as drawbacks in terms of its overall offering, and you can take a look at these in more detail below!

TopSport Key Advantages:

  • Live Betting: While some bookies are not focused on featuring a live betting function, likely due to Australian regulations, this is certainly not the case with TopSport! They feature a decent selection of live betting sports and markets to punt on and this, of course, is a key advantage of TopSport Australia!
  • High Betting Limits: A notable advantage that TopSport have is its reputation for having high betting limits. While every bookie has limits in terms of the total stake you can place on a bet, as well as the total return you can receive from a winning bet, I have found that TopSport is impressive in this sense. They typically have a larger threshold in this regard and this will specifically satisfy those punters out there who like to bet in a larger volume.
  • Rare banning of winning Punters: Another key advantage of TopSport is its reputation for rarely banning winning punters. This makes TopSport an attractive bookie for all punters out there, specifically the more experienced ones!

TopSport Key Drawbacks:

  • Lagging Markets: TopSport is typically not the quickest bookie when it comes to releasing markets for a particular sporting event. I have found that sometimes markets for a weekend NRL game, for example, are not yet out at the start of that week. And with this in mind, if you are a punter who likes to look for early value at the beginning of each week, well then TopSport might not be the most suitable bookie for you!
  • No Live Chat Function: A notable mark against the TopSport customer support offering is the absence of a live chat function. This is considered by many as the most convenient way to get in touch with a bookie, so for it to not be available with TopSport is certainly a disappointment!
  • Lack of Withdrawal Methods: At the time of writing, TopSport only features a Credit/Debit card and Bank transfer withdrawal option. While these are some of the most common withdrawal methods, I definitely feel as though TopSport have room for improvement in this space.

TopSport Summary & Verdict:

Overall, as it is seen with every bookie out there, it is clear that TopSport has both advantages as well as drawbacks against their overall offering. What is important to you as a punter will ultimately vary, and with that, while some of these drawbacks might be a dealbreaker for certain punters out there, they could be fairly meaningless to others!

All in all, however, I think this is quite a decent bookie, and I believe that while with some notable drawbacks, TopSport is nonetheless a solid bookie that should keep plenty of punters out there satisfied!

TopSport Banking & Payment

DepositingCredit/Debit Card, BPAY, Bank Transfer
WithdrawingBank Transfer

In terms of banking with TopSport, I feel as though the offering in this space is not bad, however, there is definitely room for improvement! As you can see in the table above, TopSport has a few different depositing options and only the one withdrawal option.

I personally think that the addition of one or two depositing options, like PayPal, or Apple Pay, for example, along with a couple more withdrawal options could go a long way to improving the offering in this space.

But in terms of what TopSport currently feature, depositing is a fairly instant process while withdrawing is a bit more nuanced and tends to take between 1-3 business days to be processed, however, this is fairly standard across the industry.

And lastly, in terms of actually accessing the banking section when on TopSport, all you need to do is press on your account icon, either toward the top of the website or toward the bottom right of the TopSport app. From here, users will see a ‘banking’ or ‘deposit/withdrawal’ option which they will simply need to select and follow the prompts.

All in all, I think the banking processes are pretty decent with TopSport, and while the addition of a few more deposit and withdrawal options could definitely improve the offering in this space, I nonetheless believe that there is enough here to keep most punters out there satisfied!

TopSport Betting Review

TopSport is an ever-growing, Aussie-owned bookmaker that, in my view, offers a fairly impressive all-around product. They have some nice features available and I have found that they are a particularly favourable bookie for the more experienced and high-stake punters out there! And now, with this in mind, let's get into it and explore TopSport Australia in some more detail!

To start with, once logged in, users are greeted with a clean and easy-to-navigate-through TopSport homepage. It is quite easy to locate anything you are looking for when on the TopSport app or website, and more importantly, I have found that loading times are quick, and while I have experienced it before, the platform rarely crashes and this is always a positive!

Moving on, if you want to actually start punting with TopSport, one of the first things you'll need to do is make a deposit. In terms of depositing, there are a few options here, however, I would say that TopSport certainly has room for improvement in this space! Users can deposit via a Credit/Debit card, BPAY, through POLi, a Paysafecard, or a bank transfer. While these options are good and quite standard, it would be good to see a PayPal and eWallets option here as well.

mbau_topsport_desktop_illustration_790x380.webp

Further, as well as depositing, users will hopefully need to consider the prospect of withdrawing at some stage during their time with TopSport. In this regard, users can withdraw funds to a nominated bank account via their Credit/Debit card or through a bank transfer.

And I bet you might be wondering about how fast this process is? Well, in my experience TopSport withdrawal times are decent without being amazing. They tend to take anywhere between 1-3 business days to be processed, and I would say that this is comparable with most Aussie bookies out there.

Next, I want to mention the customer service offering that users tend to experience with TopSport Australia.  Firstly, I think I would be remiss if I did not mention that the TopSport support options here are operational 24/7, and I believe that this is always helpful for punters out there! In terms of the options themselves, TopSport provides users with a phone support line as well as an email contact which can help to resolve user queries or issues. I have typically found agents to be quite helpful and friendly, and this is of course, always a positive!

While TopSport also features a fax line and a PO Box, these options might not be so useful unless users are needing to send over a document or something along those lines, but nonetheless, it is still good to see these options on offer! All in all, I think the TopSport support offering is decent, however, the notable absence of a live chat function is definitely a mark against them!

Overall, I believe that the TopSport offering is quite an impressive one which I feel will be sure to keep plenty of punters satisfied out there! I will also mention that TopSport has some notable features like its betting limits and live betting which I look forward to discussing in some more detail as this review progresses.

TopSport Scores

  • Betting Variety ⭐⭐⭐⭐: Pretty decent! While TopSport could definitely benefit from featuring some more markets for individual events, they nonetheless have an impressive number of sports and racing on offer at the time of writing.
  • Platform Experience⭐⭐⭐⭐: Again, pretty good here! I have found both the TopSport app and website to be easy to navigate through and I also feel as though loading times are fairly quick, and platform crashing is very rare.
  • Customer Support⭐⭐⭐⭐: Decent but not amazing. The fact that support options with TopSport are 24/7 is already a big positive, however, the notable absence of a live chat function is a clear mark against their support offering.
  • Banking Options⭐⭐⭐⭐: Room for improvement! While TopSport has done a good job in ensuring they offer most of the common banking options, they are nonetheless without certain options which could help them in this space such as a PayPal method.
  • Payout Speed⭐⭐⭐⭐: TopSport withdrawal time fairly decent! I have found that after a TopSport withdrawal, funds will typically be processed for a punter within 1-3 business days and I would say that this is around the industry average.
  • Security⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: No problems here! TopSport is a member of the NSW Bookmaker’s Co-Operative and this is an association that effectively guarantees payment of all winning bets placed with their members.

TopSport App & Website Experience

In terms of the TopSport platform, this can be downloaded on both iOS and Android devices, via the App Store or Google Play Store respectively. I believe both the app and the website are pretty decent and I think most users out there should be quite satisfied with the offering in this space!

To start with, users will need to ensure they have created an account, and in my experience, this is quite a swift process with TopSport. When on the TopSport website, for example, as you can see in the screenshot below, click on the ‘Join’ button in the top right-hand corner.

From here, as you see in the screenshots below, simply input some personal information and click on the ‘Go To Step 2’ button which will then take you to the ‘Account Information’ section.

Again, just like before, simply enter some account information and follow the prompts to review your details and then confirm everything. After this, your account will have been created and you can explore the TopSport app or website as you wish! And in terms of the TopSport app specifically, I have found that it mimics the appearance of the website, albeit on a smaller scale to cater for the screen size of a mobile device.

topsport mobile 4.webp

As you can see above, TopSport homepage is quite a simple layout and provides users with the opportunity to easily navigate through the platform in search of what they are interested in. Adding onto this, I have personally found that both the TopSport app and website feature little lagging or crashing and this is always a positive for users!

Overall, I would say that the TopSport platforms are pretty decent! The functionality and usability are both at a pretty good level, and I believe it is fairly easy to find what you are looking for when using TopSport.

Important Features with TopSport Australia

Live Betting

TopSport offers a live betting service to punters and while this is not a feature exclusive to TopSport, it is nonetheless always good to see a bookie offering this! While they do not have the most extensive range of sports and markets on offer in this space, I certainly feel as though they have enough to pique the interest of live betting enthusiasts! And I would be remiss if I did not mention that, in line with Australian betting regulations, punters must call up TopSport in order to place a live bet.

Platform Offering

For any bookie out there, the presentation and functionality of their platform, whether a website or mobile app, is integral to ensuring punters are continuously satisfied. In the case of TopSport, I believe they have done well in addressing this. Both the TopSport app and the website have great usability and I have found lagging or crashing to be very minimal when on the TopSport platform.

Higher Betting Limits

While all bookies place certain limits on punters in terms of the stake you can place on a punt, and the total return you can receive from a winning punt, the extent to which these bookies will limit punters ultimately varies across the industry. In the case of TopSport, I have found that they are toward the top of the pack in this sense. Punters can typically bet in large sums with TopSport, especially in the one hour leading up to an event starting.

Rarer Banning of Winning Punters

Losing money is never a good thing and this is why you will often see bookies limiting or banning punters who are consistently winning. With TopSport, however, I have found that they are not as trigger-happy as you might see with other bookmakers out there! In my experience, winning punters are typically less prone to being banned on TopSport and this is certainly something to note!

In terms of a sports offering, TopSport features an impressive 25+ different sports that users can punt on, which also includes novelty and entertainment betting. As well as this, within these sports, I have found that there is a good number of different competitions available for users to select from. For example, soccer fans will have a host of different competitions to punt on with TopSport ranging from the local A-league to the English Premier League to the more niche comps like the Belgian Pro League or the South African PSL.

And while it is great to see such a variety of sports and competitions to punt on with TopSport, what I will say is that within these sports and competitions, I have typically found there to be a lack of individual markets. For example, with regard to the NBA competition, TopSport will typically feature no more than 100 markets for an individual game whereas some other bookies out there will have in excess of 200-300 markets. Bigger events and matches like a playoff game, for example, would certainly feature more markets, however, on average the general markets available are a bit disappointing.

Moving on, in terms of actually betting on sports with TopSport, users can place an individual punt on one market or they can explore the popular multi and/or same-game-multi (SGM) features. Punters can create a multi across different sports and competitions, or they can create an SGM to combine outcomes from the same sporting event.

All in all, I believe that the sports offered by TopSport are decent without being industry-leading. I feel as though TopSport could definitely look to add more individual markets for specific events or matches, however, the current offering in this space is by no means a dealbreaker in my view.

TopSport Racing Offering

Moving onto the racing side of things, I believe that TopSport has a fairly decent offering in this space! For starters, locating racing events on the TopSport app or website is quite easy where users will find ‘Next Up’ racing events on TopSport homepage.

Alternatively, when on the TopSport app, users will see the racing icon at the bottom of their screens, and this will take them to the racing section of the platform. As well as this, on the website, users will find the racing section listed down the left-hand side of the page on a menu that they can toggle to from the list of sports markets.

And after locating the specific racing event you are interested in, the next step is to decide how you will punt on the event, and whom you will punt on! As you can see in the screenshot below, TopSport has done quite a decent job in terms of providing race information, as well as presenting punters with a variety of different bet types.

Users can select the ‘Pop-Out Form Guide’ button or they can select a specific race runner to reveal a decent amount of racing information such as recent results, best times and a whole lot more. Users can also toggle through the bet types toward the top of the page in order to craft a more exotic punt such as a ‘Quinella’ or a ‘First Four’ bet.

In order to place a punt on your desired runner, users will simply need to click on the odds associated with that runner and follow the prompts from there. And while on the topic of odds, I think it is important to mention that I have typically found TopSport racing odds to be quite decent when compared to other Aussie bookies out there.

And so, overall, I feel as though the racing offering with TopSport is quite a decent one! Punters are able to easily locate racing events on either the TopSport app or the website, and in terms of racing events themselves, I have found that TopSport has markets on a huge number of races whether in Australia or globally, and at good odds too! Adding to this, the racing information provided by TopSport on different events as well as the bet types available to punters all help to make this a great all-round racing product.

Now that you have explored the TopSport platform, you might be wondering about how to get in contact with customer support, and what options are available to do so. Well, if that is the case then you have come to the right place!

As you can see in the table above, TopSport offers both phone and email support as well as a fax or post option, and while all options are available 24/7, the latter two might not be so useful for punters unless they are needing to send a document or something alike over to TopSport. You also might have noticed by now that TopSport does not currently offer a live chat function, while this is disappointing to see, I wouldn’t call it a dealbreaker per se.

And in terms of actually accessing customer support, like you will see in the screenshots below, from the website all you need to do is select the ‘Contact’ button toward the top of the TopSport homepage. In terms of the TopSport app, however, simply click on the drop-down icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen and scroll down until you see the ‘Contact Us’ button.

Once you have done this, you will be greeted by the TopSport contact page, as you can see below, on either the TopSport app or website.

And from here all you need to do is select your preferred option and follow the prompts to get in touch with TopSport. I will also mention that in my experience agents are often quite friendly and helpful, and, of course, this is always good news for punters to hear!

Overall, I believe this is a pretty solid customer support offering which is bolstered by the fact it is operational 24/7. While the addition of a live chat function could definitely help improve the offering in this space, I nonetheless believe that users will be left satisfied with TopSport’s customer support.
