The excitement surrounding the first Test of the summer is always at fever pitch and it is sure to create plenty of attention with many online betting sites

T20 to Test transition

Such is the requirements of the modern-day cricketer that every player must be able to seamlessly transition from the frenetic T20 action to the Test match arena.

Having won the 50-over World Cup last month, Australia’s key men look to be full of confidence and they will need to switch from BBL to Test match play in a short space of time.

For the likes of Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner, there is plenty to balance as they move from slogging at the white ball to defending the red ball.

Pakistani stars in action too

As ever, the BBL manages to attract some of the biggest international stars to the competition and plenty of household names from Pakistan find themselves ready for the Australian summer.

The likes of Haris Rauf and Usama Mir have already made an impact on BBL 13, and they will be hoping their performances can push them into Test team contention.

Elsewhere, the likes of Babar Azam and Shaeen Shah Afridi will be hoping to contribute to the Test team and stick around if a BBL opportunity arises.

Who will come out on top?

As two great cricketing nations go at it in Perth, it promises to be a fascinating series ahead, which is sure to capture the attention of punters and betting apps alike.

Australia have been all-conquering in 2023, retaining the Ashes and winning the 50-over World Cup and confidence looks to be very high.

By contrast, Pakistan have shuffled the pack, bringing in Shan Masood as captain and this promises to be a very tough assignment for the experienced campaigner.

It should be a series to remember and with plenty of BBL action too, Australian cricket fans are truly blessed this summer.
