The stakes continue to get higher every week for Collingwood, who make the trip to Western Bulldogs next. The Magpies have been too good for pretty much every side they have played this season and whilst some experts still need to be convinced, they do look to be the real deal this season.

For the Western Bulldogs, this is the epitome of a free hit, and they will enjoy being able to ruffle a few feathers, if possible, here. 

Collingwood won’t have it all their own way in this one, especially in attacking areas but they should get the job done at Marvel Stadium.

A top 8 finish will be top of the agenda for both sides here, as Essendon welcome Adelaide. 8th in the table would not have been what Essendon were hoping for at this stage of the season at the start of the campaign and back-to-back losses have checked their progress somewhat in recent weeks.

Adelaide meanwhile are enduring a similar fate, with 3 wins and 3 losses from their last 6 played and they too cannot seem to create the level of consistency needed to cement their place in the top 8, with the end of the season approaching.

The fact that Essendon have lost their last two should serve as motivation here and whilst Adelaide are obviously a good side, Essendon should pick up an important home win here.
