Carlton have enjoyed a 100% start to the season.

Can Carlton win their first AFL title since 1995?

News Insights

  • It has been a blistering start to the season for Carlton.
  • The Blues have won their opening 4 games of the campaign.
  • Carlton fans have endured nearly 30 years of AFL pain.
  • They are chasing their first AFL title since 1995.

Whilst every Carlton fan won’t be quick to admit it, having been burned too many times before, there is a different feel about them in 2024.

Finishing the season in superb style in 2023 was one thing but the Blues have been able to kick on impressively in 2024.

With only 4 games played, everybody can be a little guilty of getting ahead of themselves, but Carlton look the part and are firmly in the mix for AFL Championship glory with many AFL betting sites.

Consistent Carlton

It has been a superb run of form demonstrated by Carlton, which dates back to June 2023.

The Blues have won 14 of their last 17 games played in the AFL, with their only losses coming to the GWS Giants, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Naysayers will say that winning games early on in the campaign is irrelevant, but Carlton do look to be full of confidence currently.

Challenges ahead

For all the superlatives being levelled at Carlton currently, there is an awareness that they have big games ahead of them.

The likes of the GWS Giants, Geelong, Collingwood and Melbourne all lie in wait over the next 5 games, huge fixtures with all AFL betting sites

If Carlton can hold firm and pick some wins in those games in particular, their AFL Championship bid will really start to gather momentum.

30 years of pain

Incredibly, for all the storied tales of Carlton as a football team, they have not lifed the AFL Championship since 1995.

Every season does of course present a new opportunity and the blues look ready to seize it in 2024.

For Carlton fans however, it is very much one game at a time, as they look to end their hiatus from the top table of AFL and prove themselves as Championship challengers with all AFL betting apps.
