By:Katherine Mouradian

If you’re bored with your current bookie or looking for something new to try out, QuestBet is a great option. They may be a new bookie, but they aren’t using that as an excuse. They have brought in features and products that put them right up there, like live chat, Same Game/ Race Multis and competitive odds.

They have a solid range of markets and promotions that I think will continue to improve as they grow. While they only currently offer one withdrawal method, I think they will add more to their options as time goes on and they become a bigger player in the industry.

QuestBet Full Review

By:Katherine Mouradian

QuestBet is included in one of the newest waves of bookies making their mark on the Australian betting industry. Many factors make QuestBet a standout option for those looking for a new bookie! Keep reading this review to find out everything you need to know about QuestBet.

About QuestBet

Launching in 2023, QuestBet brings a refreshing new design to the game. You surely won’t forget the ninja-themed bookie anytime soon! But there’s more than just looks with QuestBet and they are making some moves in the industry, despite being one of the small betting sites available in Australia.

questbet website.png

They have some pretty competitive odds, especially when it comes to the head-to-head market for sports-related events, like the NRL and I believe they have what it takes to be one of the biggest NRL betting sites in Australia. For sports events, you can also place Same Game Multis, which is a great new addition.

Not to leave racing out, punters can also place Same Race Multis with QuestBet. They also have several great racing-related features that are attracting customers, including blended odds and protest payouts. It seems as though they have a good balance between racing and sport, even though most of the prime real estate is taken up by racing events.

They have also clearly put a lot of thought into their app and it follows the same unique theme you see on the website. It is easy to sign in/ up using the app and you’re able to get your bets placed in just a few taps!

With QuestBet’s headquarters in Melbourne, it’s easy to see why they are one of the fastest-growing Victorian betting sites. They are also gaining popularity right around Australia and have all the main things you are looking for in a new bookie. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually become one of the many international betting sites in the future.

QuestBet Key Rankings

Betting Variety ⭐⭐⭐

There is a decent enough betting variety at QuestBet in terms of the range of events to bet on as well as the number of markets available for each event.

Platform Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The user experience at QuestBet is certainly a positive one as it is easy to navigate and their mobile experience is highly optimised.

Customer Support ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The customer support at QuestBet is where they shine. I found their customer support team to be helpful and quite responsive.

Banking Options ⭐⭐⭐⭐

There are enough banking options to suit most Aussies, especially for deposits. However, bank transfer remains the only withdrawal option.

Payout Speed ⭐⭐⭐

It usually takes a day or two to see your winnings in your bank account. Other bookies in the market offer a faster payout speed.

Security ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

QuestBet is a fully licensed Australian bookmaker and they are licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission, so they are a safe place to bet.

QuestBet Review Pros & Cons + Verdict

Let’s be honest, no bookmaker is going to be perfect. There is always going to be room for improvement, which is what keeps things interesting as all bookies are looking for the next big thing. After going through the Quest Bet bookie, I’ve found some things they do well and other areas they could improve on.

If you’re thinking about signing up with QuestBet, it’s good to have all the facts, so you can judge for yourself if the positives outweigh the negatives. Read the pros and cons I’ve put together for you below and you can make up your own mind!

QuestBet Strengths

Here’s all the most important pros you should know about QuestBet:

  • Competitive odds, especially for head-to-head sports markets
  • Slick app that is easy to use
  • Live chat is available
  • Same Game/ Race Multis markets are available
  • Unique theme on website and app
  • Blended odds and protest payouts for racing events

QuestBet Weaknesses

Here’s all the most important cons you should know about QuestBet:

  • No live/ betting streaming
  • Limited payment methods
  • No phone number to call customer support

QuestBet Verdict

All in all, if you want my opinion (which is probably why you are here!)I think QuestBet is a great new bookie. Are they one of the biggest online betting sites? No, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. They can offer a more personalised service and the fact that they have live chat available is a great addition.

They have fairly competitive odds, which is something you don’t always see with the newer betting sites and their promotions for racing and sports are decent enough for a bookie that is just getting its footing in the market. If you’re willing to take a chance on a new betting site, QuestBet is a great option.

QuestBet Features

QuestBet has a lot going on, that’s for sure. There are a lot of interesting features they offer their customers and I always enjoy seeing where each bookie has decided to focus their resources on. I’ve gone through and found what I believe to be the top four features of QuestBet and you can read more about them below.

Great Customer Service

I’ll talk more about the customer service available with Quest Bet later on this page, but I thought it was such a great addition that I had to mention it in this section as well! Customer service is clearly an area they are focusing on and they offer live chat, which means you can get any issues solved promptly.

Same Race/ Game Multis

I couldn’t have a QuestBet features section and not talk about the Same Race/ Game Multis! This bet type is rising in popularity quickly and many punters love placing a Same Race/ Game Multi due to the increased odds they provide. As this is provided for racing and sports events, Quest Bet punters won’t be missing out.

QuestBet banner

Unique Design

Quest Bet’s unique theme is completely distinguishable and you certainly won’t be forgetting them anytime soon. The design is also quite intuitive, ensuring it only takes a couple of clicks on the website or app to sign up and start placing your bets. I also noticed how fast the website and app are, which is quite important if you’re placing some last-minute bets!

Blended Odds and Protest Payouts

Quest Bet has added blended odds and protest payouts to their racing product, which I think makes them one of the ideal new horse racing betting sites at the moment. While I think their sports offering is pretty good, it’s features like this that remind me they care about racing punters as well.

QuestBet Racing Offering

QuestBet has put a lot of effort into their racing offering and for a new betting site, it is fairly comprehensive. The home page is filled with horse racing markets, making it easier for you to place your bets on upcoming races and they even have a “Featured Races” section that includes a key upcoming race.

They provide a range of markets for all three racing codes across both domestic and international races. QuestBet is well on its way to becoming one of the top greyhound betting sites thanks to the range of markets available and the number of events to choose from.

If you are the kind of punter who likes to stick with the main markets and exotics, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for. The odds available for racing events are also decent as well. I’ll talk about it in more detail soon, but it is certainly worth checking out QuestBet before placing your odds to see if you can get more value.

I would rate the racing-related promotions at QuestBet to be middle of the pack. There isn’t anything groundbreaking available, but there’s still a solid range of options and I’m not the kind of person that is willing to let extra value go down the drain!

QuestBet could benefit from live betting, live streaming and even some horse racing tips, but that is a big ask of a new betting site. Overall, their racing offering is certainly worth checking out and an area they seem to excel in. If you’re into your racing, QuestBet has a lot going for it.

market-variety

QuestBet Sports Offering

While it is clear that QuestBet is focusing on racing, they haven’t completely dropped the ball with their sports offering by any stretch of the imagination. You can toggle to see sports-related events on the home page and you can also view all the main upcoming sports events in the left-hand side menu.

So, if you’re betting on a major sports event, check the sidebar first as you will likely find what you are looking for easily. When it comes to the range of sports on offer, there is room for improvement here. They do, however, cover all the major sports that Aussies like to bet on.

QuestBet is one of the new AFL betting sites and NRL betting sites, offering a range of markets during each code’s respective seasons, plus other special events like pre-season and State of Origin.

If NBA betting sites are what you’re looking for, they do have a good offering for the NBA including a heap of markets and competitive odds. For more obscure sports though, you might have to look elsewhere. They are one of the many tennis betting sites going around, but for esports betting sites, you will have to find another bookie.

At this stage, QuestBet also doesn’t offer sports tips or insights into the event. This is something they should consider adding in the future, but until then you can get your tips from us! We have heaps of tips on offer from NBA tips, EPL tips, AFL tips, NRL tips and more, you’re certainly sorted.

Overall, there is room for improvement at QuestBet, which includes adding more markets on lesser-known sports, live betting and tips, among other things. They do still have a good enough offering, especially considering they haven’t been around for very long. I would expect they are already working on improvements for their sports offering.

QuestBet Odds

Something that most punters look for is the best odds. These days, it’s easy to compare the odds from different bookies and you’ll find that there are varying odds for the same market. I usually find that bigger betting sites will offer better odds as their profit margin isn’t so tight, especially compared to new betting sites.

As I already touched on, QuestBet has some pretty good odds available for their punters, especially for head-to-head markets on the main sports Aussies care about, like AFL and NRL. So, if you like to stick to the main markets, it’s certainly worth signing up to QuestBet and checking them out before placing your bets.

It doesn’t stop there though! I compared their horse racing odds for a couple of upcoming races and found they offer decent odds for racing as well. They aren’t crazy competitive odds or anything like that, more middle of the pack. If you’re considering a roughie, you can find bigger discrepancies in the odds.

Having fairly competitive odds is a big deal though, especially for a new bookie, who usually struggles with remaining competitive. As I always say, it’s a good idea to constantly compare the odds before placing any bets because you never know where you’re going to find the most competitive odds.

features

QuestBet Markets

Having a wide range of markets is important to any punter and I generally find the bigger the bookie, the more markets they provide. I’m not just talking about the range of markets for each event, but also the number of events covered with a bookie.

Like many other new bookies trying to make their way in the industry, QuestBet has a decent enough range of markets. If you are the kind of punter who sticks with the biggest events and main markets, you won’t have any issues with QuestBet. If you’re looking for something more obscure, like esports betting, for example, QuestBet might not be the bookie for you right now.

When it comes to racing, they cover both domestic and international races, including all the key Group One races that take place throughout the year. The actual markets available for each race include; win/ place, blended odds, Same Race Multi, quinella, exacta and more.

For sports events, I had a look at the range on offer and they cover all the most popular sports and offer markets like head-to-head, total points, margin, race to x and more. Some of the main sports available to bet on at QuestBet include:

  • American Football
  • Australian Rules
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • Darts
  • Greyhounds
  • Horse Racing
  • Ice Hockey
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Soccer
  • Sports Futures
  • Tennis

QuestBet Australia Markets & Bet Types

Now you know more about the markets available at QuestBet, but what about the specific bet types and markets? Well, QuestBet does have a decent range with all the main bases covered. The variety is good enough for the majority of punters out there.

Betting markets available with QuestBet:

  • Exotic markets
  • Margin markets
  • Handicap markets
  • Win/Place markets
  • Player Prop markets
  • Over/Under markets
  • First to Score markets
  • Correct Score markets
  • Points/Goals/Score markets
  • Quarter/Half/Innings markets

Bet types available with QuestBet:

  • Single bets
  • Multi bets (same game multis/same race multis)

live-streaming

QuestBet Live Betting

Live betting is certainly becoming more commonplace within the industry. However, there is a lot that is involved when it comes to offering live betting to punters, so you’ll usually find the bigger betting sites offer this feature. Bigger betting sites have the resources and manpower to make live betting work.

At this stage, QuestBet doesn’t offer live betting, but as they are still a new player in the game, this could change soon, as they continue to grow. Many punters enjoy live betting because it offers another way to bet and they could find some value in live betting markets.

Live betting is certainly more prevalent in sports, where there is more time between the start and end of the event to get your live bets sorted. Some bookies do offer live betting for racing, but as you have less time, you’ll really need to be on the ball to get quality odds.

The process of live betting usually involves calling the bookmaker's dedicated live betting phone number and speaking with a customer service representative to place your bet. The process has become more streamlined recently, with a code being provided that you relay to an employee and that confirms the market you want to bet on.

New betting sites rarely have features like live betting. So it isn’t surprising to see that this isn’t something they offer. If you don’t usually live bet, then this shouldn’t be a deal breaker at all for you, as they still do offer a great range of markets for all different types of events both domestically and internationally.

betting-apps

QuestBet App

Having a fast-working betting app has never been more important. Aussie punters are more likely to bet through an app, especially if they are always out and about. For many, having a poor app is a dealbreaker and I know of many punters who rarely, if ever go onto a bookies website because they prefer their app.

So, if a betting site doesn’t even have an app, it’s a major letdown in my books. I’m pleased to let you know though, that the QuestBet bookmaker has an app. Their app is a direct reflection of their desktop website and it is completely optimised for a great mobile experience.

They have an app for both Apple and Android devices, so no one is left out. After downloading the QuestBet app, I found signing in and placing bets very easy, which is usually the case with new betting sites because they all seem to put a lot of effort into creating one of the best betting apps going around.

questbet app.png

Navigation is easy with the QuestBet app and no matter the race or sporting event you are looking for, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find. The unique theme is carried across to the app and I just love it. It’s super quirky and won’t appeal to everyone, but I think it’s cute.

All the markets you’d find on their website are also available on their app and this is the same case for their promotions as well. If you don’t want to be stuck behind a computer all day when getting your bets sorted, you’ll like QuestBet’s app and the experience is just as good as being on a device with a larger screen.

Just to make sure I wasn’t the only one who thinks highly of the QuestBet app, I went to the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store to check out their respective ratings. This is why I found:

Apple App Store rating - 3.6/5 (out of 36 ratings)
Google Play Store rating - 4.9/5 (out of 17 ratings)

bonuses

QuestBet Promotions

Promotions were previously a big way that bookies would lure in new customers. These days, no Aussie bookie is legally permitted to offer sign-up bonus bets for new customers. In fact, there aren’t any promotions available at all for new customers, all promotions are now geared towards existing customers.

For QuestBet, I found they are solid when it comes to betting sites with bonuses and they have a decent range of promotions available for both racing and sports. They aren’t really on the same level as some of the bigger players in the game but this is fairly understandable as they wouldn’t have the same sort of budget.

Their promotions, while limited, are still worth checking out because you don’t want to level any value on the table! Promotions are an important aspect and can be pretty useful for all different types of punters, including those who prefer arbitrage betting. It's all about getting more bang for your buck!

It is important to note in this QuestBet review that you will need to be logged into your account to view all the promotions available. If you aren’t logged in, you’ll see some of the more generic promotions like best tote and protest payouts, but all the good stuff is displayed once you sign in!

payment-methods

QuestBet Payment Methods

It is good to have options when it comes to banking methods, but with QuestBet your options are fairly limited at this stage. This is fairly common with new betting sites as they just don’t have the technology and resources to accommodate a wider range of payment methods.

QuestBet Banking.png

For withdrawals specifically, the only option available is bank transfer. Now, this isn’t an issue if that’s the method you prefer, but if you want PayPal or BPAY, for example, QuestBet doesn’t offer this method yet but there are a few other PayPal betting sites or BPAY betting sites to choose from.

As bank transfer is the withdrawal option, the withdrawal time with QuestBet is generally between one to two business days. This could take a little longer for your first withdrawal or two as it’s the first withdrawal transaction to take place on your account. So, I wouldn't consider QuestBet one of the fastest withdrawal betting sites going around.

For QuestBet deposits, there are more options available, which include a VISA, Mastercard along with a bank transfer. As we have all come to expect by now, deposits are pretty much instant. If you are experiencing any delays with your deposits, I would reach out to the customer service team and they should look into it.

customer-support

QuestBet Customer Support

Customer support is a major area of each bookmaker that is worth a longer look. It’s important to have enough channels of communication open between the customer and the support team. Not only that, the customer service team should be friendly, helpful and as responsive as possible.

This is an area that I think bookies like QuestBet excel in. They might not have the same level of customers as some of the more established bookies, but this means they can offer a more personalised service. QuestBet clearly understands the importance of quality customer service.

I think QuestBet is putting a reasonable amount of focus on its customer support. Customers want to be treated fairly and have their issues resolved quickly, this is what QuestBet is striving for. The newer bookies generally have more focus on customer service as they try to build up their clientele.

The two options available at QuestBest, if you want to get in touch with their customer support team, include:

  • Live chat (through the website and app)
  • Email (service@questbet.com.au)

Adding live chat to their offering is perfect for a new bookie, it shows they are taking their customers seriously. Many punters prefer to use live chat as a method of talking to customer service because it is usually the quickest and easiest option. They could make things even better by adding a phone number as well.

When I reached out to the customer support team via live chat, I was connected with an agent pretty quickly and they helped answer my questions. They were friendly but professional and everything was resolved within about 10 minutes.

FAQs About QuestBet

As QuestBet is newly established, many might not know much about them and therefore have a lot of questions they want answered. I’ve gone through and found some of the common questions people have about QuestBet and answered them in this section.

Yes, QuestBet is legal in Australia, so you won’t run into any trouble if you choose to bet with them. QuestBet is based in Melbourne and they are licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission.

If you want to place a Same Game Multi with QuestBet, it’s pretty easy and follows a similar process as if you were placing a single bet. Choose the event you want to bet on and then toggle over to the “Same Game Multi” tab. Once you are there, you can select all the markets you’d like to include in your multi.

Unfortunately, no bookie is allowed to offer sign-up bonuses for new customers. There is still a range of promotions available with QuestBet, they are just exclusively offered for existing customers and you need to be logged into your account to view them.

At this stage, there is only one withdrawal option available with QuestBet, which is a bank transfer. From the time you request the withdrawal until the time your winnings hit your account, it is usually between one to two business days.

Yes, along with a website, QuestBet has also released an app, which is available for both Apple and Android users. All the features and products that are offered on the website can also be found within the betting app.

If you want to sign up for QuestBet, the process is easy and just takes a couple of steps. Firstly, click on the red “Sign Up” button in the top right-hand corner. Then you’ll need to follow the prompts and fill out all your details, like your name, DOB, email and address. Remember, you will have to ensure your account is verified before you’re able to withdraw funds.
