Doomben hosts a stellar card to conclude 2023.

The big races are coming thick and fast from Queensland, with some excellent cards piquing the interest of plenty of online bookmakers

Doomben hosts a superb 10-race card on Saturday 30th December, presenting punters with a whole host of multi bet opportunities.

Race 2: Wolfgang

In the second race of the day at Doomben, there are plenty of flyers who will be looking to impress both punters and Aussie bookmakers ahead of the 2024 season.

A race for 2-year-olds is generally considered a risky betting approach, due to the relative inexperience of the field but, Wolfgang is the standout offering here.

Having romped home over 1000m just three weeks ago, Wolfgang does look to have all the credentials to enjoy progressing up to 1200m and it has the prolific Blake Shinn on board.

Of course, there will be plenty of horses in the mix in this one but if Wolfgang gets a good run, it should prevail comfortably enough.

Tip: Wolfgang to win the race @ $1.50 (TopSport)

Race 4: Emperor

The 4th offering of the day here at Doomben pits some very interesting horses against each other and there are plenty in the field that are searching for their best form.

One who fits that brief is Emperor, a classy 4-year-old who has been battling a loss of confidence of late and an entry here, should enable it to bounce back for former glories.

The soft going will raise a few eyebrows, but Emperor is on paper by far the best horse in this contest and it should come out on top in this one.

Tip: Emperor to win the race @ $1.95 (GetSetBet)

Race 7: Show Me Mercy

The big race of the day here at Doomben is the Magic Millions VO Rogue Plate, a Group 3 contest with a healthy A$300,000 in the prize pot.

Whilst there are plenty of horses in this race that will be in the running, it is the hugely impressive Show Me Mercy that looks to be the pacesetter.

Wins and placings in esteemed company of late have propelled the 3-year-old to the top billing in this one and whilst Chrysaor is one to keep an eye on behind, Show Me Mercy is the one to stop.

Tip: Show Me Mercy to win the race @ $2.40 (Bet365)
