Are you wondering whether Betfocus is a bookie worth using? Well, if you want my opinion I would say absolutely! Whether it be because of their daily specials, their rapid withdrawals times or one of many other reasons, I think Betfocus definitely has a place in the Aussie betting industry.

However, I also must say that what works for some punters may not work for others, and with that in mind, if you prefer live betting or being able to live stream the events you are betting on, well then, I would say maybe Betfocus is not the most suitable bookmaker for you.

Ultimately, though, I think Betfocus is carving out a fine reputation as a racing specialist bookmaker in the Aussie betting scene, and I am eager to see where they go from here!

Betfocus Full Review

Lachlan
By:Lachlan Malek

G’day, punters! I am keen to delve into this Betfocus review, and with that in mind, I think we should start with a brief overview of this emerging Aussie bookie! Right off the bat, I have found that Betfocus has a particular focus on the racing side of things and I see no problems with that. Plus, what’s more, I believe the Betfocus app and desktop site are fairly high functioning, as well as pretty easy to navigate through and that is always a big positive.

About Betfocus

One of the first things you'll notice about one of the best Victorian betting sites is the racing opportunities. Whether that be thoroughbred, greyhound or harness racing, and what’s more is I have personally found that Betfocus has an impressive lineup of international races to bet on beyond their local Aussie racing offering!

Moreover, Betfocus also have different sports betting opportunities for their users to explore, and while I do think the markets and sports on offer could certainly be expanded upon, I am nevertheless satisfied with what is currently available to punt on!

Additionally, I think the Betfocus multi offering, highlighted by their same-game and same-race-multi betting functions, is a really great addition, and I personally love to make these bet types, utilising the different Betfocus specials and promotions to hopefully get a nice return on my betting!

Now, as for Betfocus banking, I have no complaints in this regard. Betfocus allow users to deposit through a Debit Card or PayID, and as for withdrawals, these are processed via a Bank Transfer. And while it certainly wouldn’t hurt to add a couple more options here, what I will say is that I think the current offering should more than suffice for must punters, and as well as this, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that Betfocus withdrawals are processed 4x daily, and that is excellent to see!

Next, in terms of customer support, I think Betfocus are decent in this regard without leading the industry or anything like that. Unfortunately, though, the slight caveat of the Betfocus customer support is that they don’t offer phone support.

I don’t see this as a major dealbreaker, especially considering the efficiency of their live chat function as well as email support being on offer for those more convoluted or time-consuming issues. Lastly, I want to end by acknowledging how Betfocus do not currently offer any live betting or live streaming opportunities, and this is definitely a shame to see.

However, I am certainly not too fixated on this as I know Betfocus are a much newer bookie and with that I am very curious and optimistic to see how they grow in the industry as the months and years go by (they might even become one of the many international betting sites)!

Betfocus Key Rankings

Betting Variety ⭐⭐⭐

While Betfocus could do with some more sports betting opportunities, I think the current betting offering, especially on the racing side of things, is solid enough for most punters out there!

Platform Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Betfocus app and desktop site are pretty impressive, especially for such a new bookie to the industry!

Customer Support ⭐⭐⭐

Users can get in contact with Betfocus via live chat or email support, and while this is good, it would also be great to see the inclusion of phone support.

Banking Options ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Betfocus allows users to deposit via a Debit Card or PayID, and for withdrawals it is just Bank Transfers on offer. Some more options here would be great, but I feel the current list is more than sufficient, especially for a bookie that launched just this year!

Payout Speed ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The withdrawal speed with Betfocus is really impressive in my experience! Withdrawals are processed 4x daily with Betfocus, and with that it means users should see funds in their nominated bank account within just a few hours!

Security ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

No issues here… Betfocus are a fully licensed Australian bookmaker, and they are also a member of the NSW Bookmakers Co-Operative meaning that all winning bets placed with its members can be guaranteed!

Betfocus Review Pros & Cons + Verdict

As with all bookmakers out there, Betfocus has both some notable strengths as well as some slight drawbacks regarding their overall offering. So, if you are keen to explore this in more detail, well then, say no more – take a look below!

Betfocus Strengths

  • Racing Product: Betfocus racing is really impressive in my view! Users can bet on all forms of racing for both Australian as well as international racing!
  • Withdrawal Speed: Betfocus have done a great job in this regard, especially for such a new bookie. BetFocus withdrawals are processed 4x daily, and this is above the industry standard!
  • Multi Betting Offering: Betfocus allows users to create standard multi bets as well as same-game and same-race-multi bets, and it is great to see such a range of multi betting on offer!

Betfocus Weaknesses

  • No Phone Support: While Betfocus do have a great live chat function, a slight knock against the Betfocus support offering is their lack of a phone support line.
  • No Live Betting or Streaming: Betfocus do not currently offer any live streaming or betting options, and while it is a slight shame in my view, I am not too concerned about it given how new the BetFocus bookie is.
  • Somewhat Lacking re Sports Betting: Betfocus do not have the most exhaustive range of sports and sports betting markets on offer, and with that it would be great to see them grow in this respect as time goes on!

Betfocus Verdict

All in all, I think Betfocus Australia has a more than solid offering, especially for such a new and emerging bookie! And while it would be great to see Betfocus expand in certain areas as they get some more experience under their belt, I am nevertheless more than impressed with their current offering, highlighted by their impressive racing offering, multi betting and withdrawal speed.

Betfocus Features

Moving on, I want to take some time to go over a few Betfocus features which I feel really help to make this bookmaker tick! So, without further ado, let’s get into it!

Betting Platform

I think both the Betfocus app as well as their desktop website is at a pretty impressive level! Betfocus users are greeted with a clean interface that I have personally found quite easy to navigate through, and what’s more, I also believe loading times are not a major issue, and by extension, us punters should have very little trouble getting a bet on quickly!

Withdrawal Offering

For such a new and emerging Aussie bookmaker, I think Betfocus have done a fantastic job regarding withdrawal time for their users. Betfocus withdrawals are processed 4x daily, and what this means is that punters should see winnings hit their nominated bank account within just a few hours! This is really impressive from Betfocus if you ask me, and it is certainly toward the top bracket of Aussie bookmakers regarding withdrawal speed!

Exclusive Sign-Up Code & Specials

Betfocus are a new Aussie bookmaker that is certainly on the rise! And if you ask me, one reason for this is down to the specials and rewards that Betfocus offer their users. I will note though, that in order to view these offers, and understand what is available to you, having an active Betfocus account is required, and you must be logged in.

So, if you are keen to explore this further, go ahead and click on the image below! Oh, and be sure to enter the exclusive Betfocus sign-up code when you register, BF700 – it will make your Betfocus experience even better!

Betfocus Racing Offering

Now, moving on punters, let us take a look at the Betfocus racing scene to get a better idea of why it is such an important part of the all-round BetFocus offering!

First off, I have found that navigating to an actual race on the Betfocus app or website is a breeze! The moment you enter the Betfocus app or website, you are greeted with a homepage that makes it very easy to explore the ‘Next to Jump’ races, and alternatively, users can navigate to the more specific ‘Racing’ section of the Betfocus app or desktop site to explore all races in more detail.

Once you have found the race you are keen to punt on, you will then be greeted with the Betfocus racing page for that event, like you can see in the image below.

What about the odds, you ask? Well, fair question! I have personally found that Betfocus offer some value odds when it comes to their racing betting, and while I wouldn’t class them as an industry leader in this regard, I nonetheless think they are doing a more than solid job! I'll talk more about Betfocus's odds in more detail later in this review.

So, in wrapping up this part of my Betfocus review, I think Betfocus are doing a great job in terms of their racing offering, and I look forward to seeing how it evolves further as this bookie gets even more experience under their belt!

market-variety

Betfocus Sports Offering

Switching over from the Betfocus racing scene to the sports side of things, I will start by saying I feel Betfocus have an alright offering in this space, however, there is definitely room for improvement! It seems as though they have focused more on racing to start with and are now slowly building up their sports offering.

Using Betfocus's app or website to bet on sports is very easy and while they don't have every market under the sun, they do have a solid range. They cover all the main sports and you can see the upcoming events on the homepage.

They even have a "Featured Sports" section that displays some of the biggest games that are happening soon. They don't offer live streaming or live betting (which I'll talk about in a second) but this isn't necessarily a dealbreaker.

If you are the kind of person who likes to stick with the basics, like betting on the main sports and main markets, then Betfocus is certainly a viable option for you. Their sports offering is enticing enough and they do offer some decent sports-related promotions as well.

Betfocus Odds

Odds are one of the most important aspects when it comes to betting. You want to get the most bang for your buck and sometimes there can be fairly significant discrepancies in the odds for the same market across multiple bookmakers. It can be difficult to beat the bookies at the best of times, so picking up any extra value is important.

It’s a fairly common assumption in the gambling industry that new betting sites don’t usually offer the best odds. Profit margins are slim and new bookies need to do everything they can to stay afloat. Odds are usually the first thing to be impacted as new bookies tend to offer lower odds to improve their profit.

For racing, I checked a few upcoming events and it seemed like Betfocus was on par with some of the biggest players in the industry. So, while their odds were certainly nothing to write home about, you aren’t at a constant disadvantage when betting with Betfocus. If you’re interested in arbitrage betting, you should look into Betfoucs’s odds.

It’s a similar story for sports. I had a look at a range of upcoming sporting events that included the NBA, the NFL and more. After looking into the odds, it seems as though Betfocus is middle of the pack. They don’t usually have the worst odds in the market, but there is still room for improvement.

If you’re looking for simple markets, like head-to-head (in sports) or win bet (in racing), then I would say Betfocus is a decent option for odds. They will usually at least offer the market average. For the more obscure options, you might be better off exploring your options. However, you never know when you’ll find a little nugget of gold.

Overall, for the average punter, you’ll find that Betfocus has good odds. They may have a ways to go to be considered an industry leader, but they are certainly not the worst in the market. No matter what, I always think it’s a good idea to perform an odds comparison (if you have the time) as that is the easiest way to get more bang for your buck.

features

Betfocus Markets

Now that you’ve got your head around the type of odds that are available at Betfocus, I want to talk about the markets that you’ll find! If you’re comparing Betfocus to other bookies that have been in the industry for decades, it’s clear to see a difference when it comes to the range of markets on offer.

For racing, the different racing bet types on offer with Betfocus are more than sufficient. They offer markets for Australian and international racing across thoroughbreds, greyhounds and harness racing. It is fair to say that pretty much all the racing events you’ll find with others, you’ll also find with Betfocus.

Standard win/ place betting is available along with same race multi betting and a handful of different exotic bet types are on offer for when you are feeling a bit more adventurous. It’s a similar offering to what you would see with other major players in the market.

Although, others might offer markets like a daily double or treble. So, if you are the kind of person who likes to stick with the typical horse racing markets, you’ll probably find what you are looking for. I would say Betfocus is on its way to becoming one of the best greyhound betting sites and horse racing betting sites going around.

Turning our attention to sports now, Betfocus has a solid range of sports available for their users to punt on, plus plenty more competitions within these sports. I would say this is right on the industry average, if not slightly above it. It would also be nice to see Betfocus become one of the esports betting sites in Australia, as they don’t currently offer it.

From the AFL to basketball and football, Betfocus sure do have a decent range of popular sports to explore, along with some more novelty items such as cycling or snooker for the more niche punters out there! If you are looking for one of the best AFL betting sites or tennis betting sites, for example, you have to check out Betfocus.

In taking an even deeper dive, I have found that the Betfocus range of markets within these sports and competitions is decent. This has recently been further advanced by the fact that same game multi betting is on offer!

I think the biggest room for improvement for Betfocus is within sports. While I would love to see Betfocus grow in this regard, I nevertheless think they have made quite a decent start for such a newcomer to the betting game. From NRL betting sites to NBA betting sites, Betfocus is starting to make waves to become among the best.

Generally speaking, Betfocus also doesn’t offer live betting (I’ll talk more about this in the next section) or live streaming. This shouldn’t really be considered a dealbreaker, but it is certainly nice to have and something that they should consider as they become a bigger name in the bookmaker industry.

Bet types available with Betfocus:

live-streaming

Betfocus Live Betting

I touched on this in the section above, but I think it’s important enough to warrant its own section. Live betting is a feature that allows you to place a bet while the game or race is happening, rather than before the event. At this time, Betfocus doesn’t currently offer live betting as a part of its services.

Live betting is a feature I would place in the “nice to have” column. While it won’t dictate whether I’ll sign up with a bookie or not, it is still something to consider. It can be most useful when it comes to sport, as there is more time within the game and you can look for potential patterns to get ahead of the pack and score yourself a high-value bet with great odds.

If you want to live bet on racing, you’ll have to be pretty quick as things change very fast and the race itself can be over in a matter of seconds. Some bookies do offer odds for races after they have started, but it is still fairly rare.

Live betting for sports is much more readily available and you have more time during the event to put on your live bet. Nevertheless, the odds for both racing and sports live betting can change very quickly and it is somewhat of an art to get the value odds you’re looking for.

I am seeing live betting become increasingly available at different bookies, but this isn’t something that Betfocus offers just yet. This probably isn’t a surprise to you, as it is rare to see a new bookie offer such a feature.

While they don’t currently offer live betting, it doesn’t mean they won’t in the future. It is a great feature to have and many Aussie punters love to utilise it, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see Betfocus introduce live betting shortly. If live betting is a make-or-break feature for you, you might be better off at one of the other bookies around.

betting-apps

Betfocus App

Now, in taking a closer look at the Betfocus app, I have to say I am quite impressed! The Betfocus app is available for download via the App Store for iPhone users or the Google Play store for Android users.

Once you fire up the app, as you can see in the screenshot below, you are greeted with a clear and simple homepage that is easy to navigate. I have found in the past that some betting apps may look good but they don’t always perform as well as they look.

However, in the case of the Betfocus app, I have been particularly impressed with the usability of this app. I also haven’t really experienced any major lagging or crashing of the app and that is a very important positive of the BetFocus platform.

Having an intuitive betting app should be one of the top priorities of all Aussie bookies because it is usually the main platform punters use to place their bets. It provides an easy and convenient way to bet while on the go.

For those who tend to leave things to the last minute, you’ll be pleased to know that it takes just a couple of clicks to get your bets sorted. All the key upcoming events are displayed on the home screen and you can toggle between upcoming racing or sports events, so it should be easy to find what you are looking for.

All the features and information that are available on their website are also available on the app, so you aren’t at any disadvantage when you are on the go. The app is user-friendly and it looks as though it has been designed by people who are punters themselves, so everything is where it should logically be to create the best experience possible.

One of the things that would be great to see on the app (and website) is tips. Some other bookies offer quick insights and tips for racing and/ or sporting events. NBA tips, EPL tips, AFL tips, NRL tips and of course, horse racing tips would be among my top suggestions. But don’t forget that you can find heaps of tips right here at MyBetting Australia!

So, in wrapping up this section of my Betfocus review, I believe they have done a pretty solid job and I think most punters out there will be more than satisfied with this offering. The app offers pretty much everything you could need.

bonuses

Betfocus Promotions

BetFocus, in its infancy, has somewhat of a reputation for having some decent specials and promotions on offer. They have a range of promotions that cover both racing and sporting events, so no matter what you like to bet on, you’ll find something worthwhile.

When it comes to betting sites with bonuses, I would put Betfocus in the middle of the pack. A lot of betting sites tend to copy others and offer a similar range of promotions. Betfocus isn’t industry-leading in this area, but their bonuses are good enough to check out.

I must note here that to view these specific Betfocus promotions and specials, you are required to have an active Betfocus account. Once you have logged in to your account, you’ll have access to all the promotions available.

payment-methods

Betfocus Payment Methods

If you’re betting with a bookie, the ultimate goal is to have something to withdraw! As Betfocus is a fairly new player in the market, I have to say their withdrawal options are limited. However, something that helps them stand out from all the other newer bookies is their fast withdrawals.

They process withdrawals four times a day, meaning you will get your winnings faster than you might have originally expected and probably faster than with other new betting sites, where it can take a day or so for your winnings to hit your bank account. So, if you’re looking for one of the fastest withdrawal betting sites, you’ve found it with Betfocus.

For withdrawals, the only option is a bank transfer, however, this is a desirable option for many Aussies. For me personally, bank transfer is my number one option, so even if there were other options I would still go for a bank transfer.

This means, however, if you’re looking for a bookie with a lot of banking options, like PayPal betting sites or BPAY betting sites, for example, Betfocus isn’t the option for you just yet. This could change in the future though, so make sure you watch this space!

Overall, I think Betfocus can benefit from adding some more banking options and this will allow punters more choices. I think they have nevertheless done a really good job at offering the basics here and at a very high level too. Fast withdrawals are something a lot of punters are looking for and they are meeting expectations.

customer-support

Betfocus Customer Support

Onto the customer support side of things, I have to say I am pretty impressed with the Betfocus offering in this space. Most bookmakers will offer customer support at some level and we all know how frustrating it is when you have an issue and can’t get a timely response or the support team clearly doesn’t care about helping you.

At Betfocus, it’s pretty clear they are putting the customer first and have a variety of methods that you can utilise to get in touch with the team. This includes a live chat function or email support. Their customer support team is available seven days a week from 9am to 9:30pm.

I am happy they have live chat as an option as I believe this is the easiest and quickest way to get any issues or questions resolved. When I have used Betfocus’s live chat function in the past, I have found their response time to be super quick and also quite helpful.

This is important to see as I feel this is a vital aspect of good customer service! While it is certainly a shame to see that Betfocus do not currently offer any kind of phone support, I really don’t think this is such a big issue given the efficiency of their live chat.

So, overall, I think the customer support offering is more than sufficient with Betfocus and I hope that they maintain the same standard in the future as it can only be seen as a good thing. They could improve by adding a phone line for customer support, but the actual assistance you get from the team when contacting them is great.
