Is it too late for Adelaide to turn their season around in 2024?

Adelaide are looking for answers, with 4 games of the regular AFL season played

News Insights

  • Problems are beginning to mount for Adelaide.
  • The Crows have lost their opening 4 games.
  • Voices of discontent are starting to circle at the Adelaide Oval.
  • They are one of 4 sides yet to win an AFL game this season.

Whilst hyperbole and exaggeration are always quick to come to the fore in the early part of any season,

Even the most ardent Adelaide fan however would not be able to put a positive spin on their start to the season.

Four defeats from their opening 4 games has left them chasing their tail and the pressure is starting to mount on the Crows from all angles and they are now seen as very much playoff outsiders with many AFL betting sites

Abject Adelaide

The 2023 AFL season was a serious disappointment for Adelaide, who saw their hopes of a playoff place peter out very quickly.

Finishing 10th in the table doesn’t perhaps suggest much to build on but there was optimism surrounding the Crows ahead of 2024.

However, that has quickly been extinguished and Adelaide clearly have work to do to turn their season around.

Problems in attack

Putting points on the board remains the primary objective for every AFL side and Adelaide are no different in that regard.

However, they have really struggled to trouble opposition defences in recent weeks and they are lacking creativity in attacking areas, a problem identified by many punters and AFL betting sites

Having scored at most 77 points in one game this term, Adelaide need to turn things around quickly, if they are to have any chance of climbing the AFL table.

Could things get worse?

Another issue for Adelaide is the looming fixture list, which will be striking fear into all Adelaide fans with AFL betting apps

In their next six games, the Crows play Carlton, Collingwood, Port Adelaide and Brisbane, with all 4 games set to provide stern tests.

However, Adelaide know that there is plenty of footy to be played this season and they have time on their side to change the narrative.
