NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

We're starting to see how this NRL season will play out. The Rabbitohs will face the Storm as both aim to prove their contender status, the Panthers will strive to return to winning form and the Bulldogs are looking to get up against a depleted Cowboys side. In this free multi, we're keeping it simple, backing the Panthers half time, full time as well as the Rabbitohs and Bulldogs to win.

Penrith Panthers vs Canberra Raiders

March 31st, 18:00, GIO Stadium

The Panthers and Raiders will both be looking to bounce back this week, suffering disappointing defeats. The Panthers suffered a heart-breaking 1-point loss in golden point, while the Raiders lost by 10 to the Knights. To everyone’s surprise, the Panthers are boasting a negative record and will certainly be looking to fix that.

If the Panthers complete at a high rate and trust their spine to lead them in attack, they should be far too classy for a Raiders outfit who are missing their key man Jack Wighton due to suspension. The Panthers have won each of their last 4 games vs the Raiders, keeping the Raiders to 12 points or less in each of these encounters. The Panthers should be way too good for the Raiders, so after analysing market’s across betting sites I am taking the Panthers Half Time / Full Time double @1.50 on Bet365

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Melbourne Storm

March 31st, 20:00, Accor Stadium

The Rabbitoh and Storm both picked up wins last week, with the Rabbitohs edging the high-flying Sea-Eagles by 1 point in golden point, whereas the Storm beat the Tigers by 12. Both sides are holding a mediocre 2-2 record and will be looking to capture a positive record. While the Rabbitohs are only 2-2, I do think they are a top contender, playing 4 top teams in the opening rounds. On the other hand, the Storm don’t look like the same powerhouse they have been over recent years, losing a lot of key players to injury as well as departures from the club.

If both teams were fully fit, I do think this would be a close encounter, however, this Melbourne side without Papenhuyzen and Jahrome Hughes lack the firepower to compete with the Rabbitohs. The Storm defense has also looked shaky over the opening 4 rounds, conceding an average of 22 points.  For these reasons I am taking Rabbitohs ML @1.56 on PlayUp.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs North Queensland Cowboys

April 2nd, 18:15, Accor Stadium

The Bulldogs are coming off a tough 2-point loss against the Warriors in New Zealand, while the Cowboys are coming off a crucial 12-point win against the Titans at home.

The Cowboys are the better side here when we look at face value, finishing a very impressive 3rd last season, however, this week they are not that same side. The Cowboys are down several key players, notably Drinkwater, Taulagi, Nanai, Cotter and Tamou. That is a lot of firepower to miss out on, particularly the first 3, who accounted for 45 of the Cowboys’ 116 total tries last year. The Bulldogs are looking more cohesive each week and are likely welcoming back Tevita Pangai Junior this week. I think there is a lot of value on the Bulldogs, so I am taking them ML @1.95 on bet365.
