NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

Round 17 is in the books and it was jam packed with exciting games! The Warriors put on a masterclass away from home, while the Cowboys surprised the Bunnies with a big win away. Our multi came close last week, missing out by one leg, the Broncos. We are back this week with MyBettingAustralia’s NRL Multi of the week and we have found some value across Betting Sites on the Panthers vs Storm total, the Titans left edge and the Roosters right edge.

Melbourne Storm vs Penrith Panthers

June 30th, 20:00, Marvel Stadium

For our first leg of the multi of the week, we look to the Storm hosting the Panthers. This is a true heavyweight clash, 1st vs 3rd and a 2020 grand final rematch. Both these sides have really found form lately, with the Storm winning 3 in a row while the Panthers have won 6 of their past 7. These sides have both been winning games on the back of good defense, with the Panthers conceding the least points this season and the Storm coming in second. Given how close the table is, both sides will be eager for a win to help claim a top 4 spot, this one should be a high intensity game with both teams defending for their lives.

Both these sides come into this one relatively fit after resting some Origin players last week, the Panthers are of course still missing Nathan Cleary. Historically this fixture has been a low scoring affair built on defense, with 4 of the last 5 games having 38 points or less. With both sides defending so well this year, in what should be a game built on defense, I am taking under 38.5 @1.90 on PlayUp.

Canberra Raiders vs Gold Coast Titans

July 1st, 15:00, GIO Stadium

For our second leg of the multi of the week, we have the Raiders hosting the Titans. The Raiders picked up a narrow victory away to the Roosters last week, pushing them up to 6th spot, while the Titans impressed against their crosstown rival the Broncos, now just point difference outside the top 8. While the Raiders have been extremely impressive this season, they have leaked a lot of points. They have conceded 383 points in 15 games, over 25 points a game, which is 69 more than any other team in the top 8 and they have played one less game! The Raiders right edge has been particularly weak, conceding 40% of their tries.

This weak right edge will be coming up against the Titans herculean left edge. The Titans left edge combination of David Fifita and Khan-Pereira have ripped teams to shreds this season, with Fifita being involved in 12 tries in 13 games while Khan-Pereira has scored 14 in 13 games. The Titans have scored 90 points in their past 3 games against the Raiders and with the QLD fullback jersey available, I expect Brimson and the Titans left edge to be on form. That’s why I am taking Khan-Pereira to score a try @1.95 on Bet365.

Manly Sea Eagles vs Sydney Roosters

July 2nd, 16:05, 4 Pines Park

For our final leg of the multi we see the Sea Eagles hosting the Roosters. Both sides are struggling this season, sitting in 12th and 13th position on the ladder respectively. Despite their poor form, the Roosters are just 2 points behind 8th position and with the side they have, they’ll be looking to make a run for Finals Footy. This Manly side on the other hand have lost Tom Trbojevic and without him they aren’t the same side both in attack and defense. While the Roosters are also down on troops this week, they do welcome back Joseph Suaalii to the right wing, where he has looked far more lethal than at center.

The Roosters have finally got their right edge of Manu and Suaalii back after a stint at 6 for Manu and on the sidelines for Suaalii serving out a suspension. The Sea Eagles have conceded almost 50% of their tries on their left edge, and in a game where I can see some points for the Roosters, I expect a lot of traffic going down the edge of Manu and Suaalii. That’s why I am taking Suaalii to score a try @2.15 on Bet365.
