NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

Round 11 is over and what a great weekend it was. We had a good week last week, winning our Multi of the Week @$3.56 thanks to the Broncos, Panthers and Rabbitohs. We are back this week with MyBettingAustralia’s NRL Multi of the week and we have found some value across Betting Sites on the Eels against the Rabbitohs, the Cowboys against the Tigers and the Sea Eagles against the Raiders.

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Paramatta Eels

May 19th, 20:00 Allianz Stadium

For our first leg of the multi of the week, we look to the Rabbitohs hosting the Eels at Allianz Stadium. While this is a home game for the Rabbitohs, it is important to note it is not at their usual home ground and will provide less of an advantage. The Eels have gotten off to a slow start this season and lost once again last week. They are now 4-7, which looks extremely poor, yet I’d argue they have been extremely unlucky. They are 4-7 yet somehow have a +24-point difference, with their biggest loss this season being by 8-points.

The Eels have failed to win the close games this season and it has really cost them. This week they will be looking to bounce back from a 2-game loss streak, welcoming back Mitchell Moses. The Eels are notoriously good at taking down the competition favourites, already beating Penrith this year. Souths looked a little flat in attack last week, scoring only 1 try in the first 70 minutes and if they attack like that, the Eels will punish them. I am playing it slightly safe and taking the Eels +12.5 @1.62 on Bet365.

Wests Tigers vs North Queensland Cowboys

May 20th, 17:30, Leichardt Oval

In our second game of Super Saturday and our second leg of our multi, the Tigers host the Cowboys. Both sides sit towards the bottom of the ladder, with the Cowboys in 13th and the Tigers in last place at 17th. The Tigers are coming off a tough loss against the Rabbitohs, where they defended very well, but failed to cause the Rabbitohs issues in attack. The Cowboys on the other hand made it 2 wins in a row, scoring 42 against the Dragons after comfortably beating the Roosters at Magic Round.

The Cowboys are potentially welcoming back star enforcer and former Dally-M winner Jason Taumalolo, which will no doubt add a lot of power to their pack. The Cowboys are showing that they still have the ability to play like the top 4 footy side they were last year and if they play anywhere close to how they have in the past 2 weeks, they should be far too good for the Tigers. I am taking the Cowboys to win @1.63 on BoomBet.

Canberra Raiders vs Manly Sea Eagles

May 21st, 14:05, GIO Stadium

For our final game of the round and last leg of the multi, we head over to Canberra as the Raiders host the Sea Eagles. Both sides are heading in opposite directions of late with the Raiders winning an impressive 5 on the trot while Manly have lost 3 in a row. Despite this, I truly do think Manly are the better side here. The Raiders last 4 wins have been against the Dragons, Dolphins, an injured Bulldogs team and an injured Eels side, winning the 4 games by a total of 19 points. While their run has been impressive, I think they have slightly fortunate to do so.

For Manly, I am expecting Josh Schuster to return at 6, providing some spark in attack, which Cooper Johns has failed to do. Schuster got 3 assists in his first game of the season against the Eels and helps to take some attacking pressure of Tom and DCE. Tom is starting to look a bit better, taking 18 runs last week, up from a 14.25 average in the 4 rounds prior. I am expecting Tom Trbojevic to improve week on week and think this Manly side should show more spark than in previous weeks. I am taking the Sea Eagles +12.5 @1.45 on Bet365.
