NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

The NRL is barely a week old, and already upsets have abounded. Last weekend saw big names like the Broncos, Panthers and Warriors all fizzle in their opening games. Will these title contenders bounce back strong in round two and show the competition why betting sites pinned them as favorites pre-season? We think so, and here’s how to make some good money at the same time.

Brisbane Broncos vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs

March 14th, 20:00 AEDT, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane

Both the Broncos and Rabbitohs travelled to Las Vegas the weekend before last and came up short. Since then, they’ve had a good chunk of time off to return to Australia and recuperate ahead of round two.

While both teams will be disappointed in their losses—NRL betting sites had each as the favourite in their match ups—the Broncos will be particularly annoyed. They had an opportunity to beat the Roosters but were unable to get across the line. Playing at home in front of a big crowd, we don’t expect them to make the same mistake twice. Back them to easily cover the -7.5 point handicap in this Friday night clash with a return of 1.78 at bookmaker bet365.

Penrith Panthers vs. Parramatta Eels

March 15th, 20:05 AEDT, BlueBet Stadium, Penrith

Speaking of sides after revenge in round two, the Panthers also stuttered to defeat in their opening game. While they played a very good Melbourne Storm team, Penrith will undoubtedly be eager to shake off their poor start and make a statement this week.

Plenty of questions still remain around the Eel’s defence, and we say the Panthers will open them up big time this weekend. Back them for a 13+ point margin at 2.40 with bet365.

Sydney Roosters vs. Manly Sea Eagles

March 17th, 16:05 AEDT, 4 Pines Park, Sydney

Rounding out our multi bet this weekend, we say one team that will keep their momentum going from Las Vegas is the Sydney Roosters. The side looked sharp to begin the season—a far cry from their 2023 campaign—and should have what it takes to get past the Sea Eagles on Sunday.

Expect this one to be a tough, hard-fought clash, so there’s no need to get fancy wagering on any specific prop bets here. Simply back the Roosters to scratch out a win for a 1.82 return at bet365.
