NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

This year’s NRL looks a little different, with the opening two matches of round one being held in Las Vegas. In true Sin City spirit, we’ve scoured betting sites and come up with the perfect multi bet to start the season with a bang! Read on to see how Jason Saab and the Broncos vs Roosters can make you seven times your money this weekend.

Sea Eagles vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs

March 3rd, 13:30 AEDT, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas

Two teams that narrowly missed the playoffs in 2023 will square off in the opener of NRL 2024 on Sunday. The Rabbitohs had a strong season last year by and large, but fell off towards the end and missed out on eighth place by the narrowest of margins. For the Sea Eagles, their year spluttered along and saw them finish three points short of the post-season in 12th spot.

Both will be eager to get their 2024 campaigns off to a winning start, and with all of the off-season juggling of players, this is a tough match to pick. Throw in the dynamic of a long flight over to the United States, and we’re steering clear of picking an outright winner here. However, we do know that the pitches at Allegiant Stadium are slightly wider than usual, so there should be plenty of action on the outsides. We’re picking Jason Saab to score at some stage in the match for a return of 2.40 at PlayUp

Sydney Roosters vs. Brisbane Broncos

March 3rd, 15:30 AEDT, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas

While the season’s opener features two sides that missed the playoffs in 2023, the same can’t be said for this match. The Broncos went all the way and missed out by just two points on lifting the trophy last year, while the Roosters scraped their way into the second week of the finals.

Both teams are being touted as contenders again in 2024, and we expect this clash will be a cracker. We’re backing Brisbane to win it, with the Broncos having had a much stronger season last year and won their most recent meeting against the Roosters. Pick them with bookmaker PlayUp to win by any margin at 1.60

Another great market on this game is betting on the total points. Across their past seven clashes against each other, the Broncos and Roosters have scored over 40.5 points every single time. Given that their past three scorelines have been 32-10, 34-16 and 24-20, there’s no reason to believe there will be a shortage of points in this match either. Back the total points to be over 40.5 for a return of 1.85 at PlayUp
