James is a published author, sports writer and editor from Melbourne, Australia. Sport was a massive part of his childhood – be it going to the MCG to watch the footy or Boxing Day Test, following the NBA from afar, or heading to Bells Beach for the annual pro surfing event – and nothing changed as he got bigger and uglier.
After completing a couple of uni degrees, he officially kicked off his sports writing career in his mid-20s, and has since then covered any and every sport or racing event he can, published over 50 books including one by a former NBL coach, and written a book of his own.
That book is called Sport’s Greatest Statistical Anomalies, and with a book like that to his name it’s little surprise that the ins and outs of betting is something that piques James’ interest like little else! Scouring the stats to find an edge is a challenge he has been pursuing for over a decade, and he takes great pleasure in getting these thoughts out in writing – as do his family and friends, the collective ears of whom he would be chewing off about these thoughts if he wasn’t writing them down!
