EPL 2023/24 Matchweek 31

It feels as if there is no let-up for the Premier League sides, as the midweek schedule lines up once more. Fresh from Liverpool moving clear of Manchester City and Arsenal last weekend, this looks to be another significant round of fixtures for both punters and EPL betting sites

Down at the bottom of the table, the race remains very much on for Premier League survival and there is no margin for error.

Matchweek 31 Fixtures

Newcastle United vs Everton

St James’s Park, 3rd April 2024 – 07.30

Following an incredible comeback over West Ham United at the weekend, Newcastle will be eager to keep the momentum ticking, as they take on Everton. Toon have huffed and puffed all season without much success, but they will see the end of this season as a chance to build for next year. For Everton meanwhile, the end of the season is very much on the horizon and the threat of relegation remains an all too real one. Predicting how Everton will play here at Newcastle is a difficult one and as a result, Toon should pick up a home win.

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham

City Ground, 3rd April 2024 – 07.30

The threat of more points being taken away from them continues to hang over Nottingham Forest and they have another tough scrap on their hands here as they take on Fulham. Forest are playing well but can’t seem to pick up the wins they need at the moment, and they will see this as a winnable one. Fulham meanwhile are continuing to churn out the results under Marco Silva and they will want to make this as tough as possible for Forest here. There will be very little in this one at the City Ground in the eyes of most punters and soccer betting sites, and a draw looks likely.

Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace

Vitality Stadium, 3rd April 2024 – 07.30

It has been an excellent season for Bournemouth, and they will be desperate to finish the campaign as strongly as possible as they take on Crystal Palace. The Cherries have been excellent all year, particularly at home and they will want to take the game to the Eagles from the outset. Crystal Palace meanwhile remain in relegation strife but with sides around them dropping points, they will believe that just a couple of good results could keep them up. There may not be much between these sides either and it could be another draw.

Burnley vs Wolves

Turf Moor, 3rd April 2024 – 07.45

Vincent Kompany’s Burnley have started to show plenty of resolve in recent weeks and they will be hoping to do that again as they take on Wolves. Staying up in the Premier League could be a very tall order for the Clarets but they will be taking heart from their recent performances and results. Wolves meanwhile are enjoying a super season under Gary O’Neill, but they will be reeling from their West Midlands derby defeat to Aston Villa last weekend. This will be a good one, with a draw on the cards.

West Ham United vs Tottenham

London Olympic Stadium, 3rd April 2024 – 08.15

Having seen a two-goal lead disappear at Newcastle last time out, David Moyes and West Ham will be chasing a response here in the London derby against Tottenham. The Hammers remain a very unpredictable side, but they have plenty of good players, who can all influence any game in an instant. Spurs meanwhile have had to dig deep to pick up results in recent weeks, but they remain a force in the top 4 chase. This will be closely fought but Spurs could just about have enough in the tank.

Brentford vs Brighton

Gtech Community Stadium, 4th April 2024 – 07.30

Two of the most entertaining sides in the division face off as Brentford take on Brighton in West London. The Bees will still be wondering how they didn’t manage to beat Manchester United last time out, and they have their Premier League status to look to preserve over the remaining games of the campaign. In a similar vein, Brighton pushed Liverpool all the way at Anfield but ultimately came up short and they have lost ground in the race for European football. This will be very tight, and it could well be a draw at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Arsenal vs Luton Town

Emirates Stadium, 4th April 2024 – 07.30

Following their famous draw at the Etihad last time out, Arsenal will be looking to start playing attacking football again as they take on Luton Town. The Gunners have been in fine fettle this year and they will want to cement their status as one of the front runners for the Premier League title with punters and soccer betting sites here, against struggling Luton. For the Hatters this is a complete free hit, and they will look to trouble Arsenal like they did earlier in the season. However, the Gunners will be far too good for Luton in this one.

Manchester City vs Aston Villa

Etihad Stadium, 4th April 2024 – 08.15

Champions Manchester City know that it is now or never in their Premier League title defence, and they face another stern test here against top 4 chasing Aston Villa. City remain a force to be reckoned with in every game or competition that they play but winning every title, every year, is simply untenable and it does feel as if something has to give at the Etihad this season. Aston Villa meanwhile continue to plug away in their top 4 pursuit, and they gave City a real going over earlier in the campaign. City aren’t firing and Villa could manage to blow open the title race royally in this one.

Liverpool vs Sheffield United

Anfield, 5th April 2024 – 07.30

League leaders Liverpool have their Premier League title destiny very much within their own hands and they will be looking to press home that advantage against lowly Sheffield United. The reds have been imperious at times this season, especially at home and they will want to really drive that home against a struggling Blades side. Sheffield United will not fear this assignment as they have absolutely nothing to lose but Liverpool are far too good for them, and they should pick up a strong win here.

Chelsea vs Manchester United

Stamford Bridge, 5th April 2024 – 08.15

Two Premier League giants who have endured seasons to forget meet here, as Chelsea take on Manchester United. The blues have been very poor this season, summed up by their recent draw at home to 10-man Burnley and they need results to ease the pressure on Mauricio Pochettino. A similar story can be told for Manchester United meanwhile, a side running out of time if they are to be playing top 4 football this season. This should be a good game, with neither side having anything to lose and it could well end up being an entertaining draw.
