EPL 2023/24 Matchweek 27

Now that the first trophy of the season has gone to Liverpool, the regularity of the league season comes into focus once more for all punters and EPL betting sites

Jurgen Klopp’s side remain the team to catch at the top of the Premier League table but Manchester City and Arsenal kept in touch last weekend, whilst Burnley and Sheffield United look to be cut well adrift in the basement battle.

Matchweek 27 Fixtures

Newcastle United vs Wolves

St James’s Park, 3rd March 2024 – 03.00

Newcastle will be doing all they can to build on their FA Cup win over Blackburn last time out, as they welcome Wolves. Toon were thumped at Arsenal in their previous league game but digging deep to win on penalties will surely be a huge confidence boost for Eddie Howe’s men ahead of this one. Wolves meanwhile edged past Sheffield United last weekend and are starting to look like a team that could force their way into the top half at the end of the season. This should be a good one, with Newcastle potentially having too much quality at home.

Brentford vs Chelsea

Gtech Community Stadium, 3rd March 2024 – 03.00

A West London derby will be piquing the attention with plenty of EPL soccer betting sites, as Brentford welcome Chelsea. The Bees managed to beat the blues earlier in the season and how they would love to repeat the feat in front of their home fans. Meanwhile, Chelsea will still be reeling after letting the Carabao Cup slip from their grasp at the weekend and they will want to respond. Chelsea’s superior attacking lineup could prove to be the difference here.

Everton vs West Ham United

Goodison Park, 3rd March 2024 – 03.00

Having had points chalked off their financial fair play penalty this week, Goodison Park should be in buoyant mood as Everton welcome West Ham in a big clash for both sides. The Toffees remain firmly in the relegation scrap and with work to do if they are to preserve their Premier League status this season. Meanwhile, West Ham thumped Brentford last time out to ease the pressure on David Moyes and they need more of the same here if they are to permanently boost the mood. This will be a tight game and it could well end up being a draw.

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool

City Ground, 3rd March 2024 – 03.00

Nottingham Forest are another side embroiled in the relegation scrap and their next assignment is a tough one against league leaders Liverpool. Forest can’t seem to generate any sort of consistency this season and they need points quickly if they are to climb away from trouble. Meanwhile, Liverpool are going very well under Jurgen Klopp, with one trophy in the bag and they will go hard in pursuit of the other three available to them. This should be a good one, which Liverpool should emerge with three more points in the tank from.

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 3rd March 2024 – 03.00

Having enjoyed almost two weeks off, Tottenham will be raring to go as they return to home action here against Crystal Palace. Spurs remain a side firmly in the top 4 race, but some flaky recent results have certainly given the chasing pack hope that they can be caught. Crystal Palace meanwhile won their first game under new manager Oliver Glasner last weekend, and they will want more of the same here this term. This should be a good game, with goals flying in and Tottenham most likely to get the points.

Fulham vs Brighton

Craven Cottage, 3rd March 2024 – 03.00

Two sides firmly in the mid-table shakeup face off here, as Fulham welcome Brighton to West London. The Cottagers are ticking along nicely under Marco Silva and their excellent win over Manchester United last time out should be hugely confidence boosting. Brighton meanwhile are a side who have two cups to contend with too this season and they have work to do if they are going to finish inside the top 8 this term. This should be a good one and with both sides in decent form, a draw could well be on the cards.

Luton Town vs Aston Villa

Kenilworth Road, 3rd March 2024 – 05.30

Relegation threatened Luton Town will want to get back to winning ways in the Premier League, as they take on Aston Villa. Having been thumped by Manchester City in the FA Cup in midweek and with Everton’s penalty being reduced, Luton are not favourites for the drop with many online soccer betting sites. Aston Villa meanwhile remain in the hunt for a top 4 finish and with every week that goes by, Unai Emery’s side look to move themselves into a position that enables them to fulfil that goal. This will be a very good one and Villa should have enough to pinch it.

Burnley vs Bournemouth

Turf Moor, 4th March 2024 – 01.00

The stay in the Premier League looks to be coming for an end for Burnley unless they can conjure up something incredible between now and the end of the season. Bournemouth are the next visitors to Turf Moor and both the Cherries, and the Clarets still have plenty to play for this term. Bournemouth haven’t hit their straps in recent weeks, which should give Burnley confidence and this one could end up as a draw at Turf Moor.

Manchester City vs Manchester United

Etihad Stadium, 4th March 2024 – 03.30

As always, the Manchester derby is the standout fixture on the card this weekend and City vs United promises to be a huge game in the respective seasons of both teams. City remain in the hunt for 3 trophies and are ticking along nicely but they still have work to do if they are to reel in Liverpool and end up winning the title for a 4th consecutive time. Manchester United meanwhile will revel in their role of party poopers here and whilst City will be bang up for this, United could dig their heels in and pick up an important point.

Sheffield United vs Arsenal

Bramall Lane, 5th February 2024 – 08.00

Two sides in hugely contrasting form face off in Yorkshire, as Sheffield United host Arsenal. The Blades sit 20th in the table, and they have been shipping goals for fun in recent weeks, making the visit of Arsenal the worst possible event on their calendar. The Gunners are flying, having scored 15 goals in their last 3 Premier League games and whilst Sheffield United could trouble them physically, Arsenal should run out handsome winners at Bramall Lane here.
