EPL 2023/24 Matchweek 21

The first full Premier League fixture list of 2024 promises to be a cracker, with all of the sides in the division being given a week off too, as part of the new-look winter break.
Liverpool remain the team to catch as the calendar year turns but with Aston Villa, Manchester City and Arsenal in pursuit, it promises to be another hectic week with the biggest and best EPL betting sites

At the bottom of the pile, the likes of Burnley and Sheffield United have work to do if they are to stay up, as do Luton Town, Nottingham Forest and Brentford.

Matchweek 21 Fixtures

Burnley vs Luton Town

Turf Moor, 13th January 2024 – 07.45

A classic relegation scrap is in prospect in Lancashire, as Burnley host Luton Town. Both sides are being touted to drop back down into the Championship with many EPL betting apps and this will be a proverbial 6-pointer, between two sides that have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks.

Burnley are starting to find a little bit of form under Vincent Kompany and they will be eager to kick on during the second half of the season.

Meanwhile,  Luton Town are a plucky outfit under Rob Edwards and they won’t fear this trip to Burnley, making the draw a plausible outcome.

Chelsea vs Fulham

Stamford Bridge, 14th January 2024 – 00.30

The West London derby will be at the forefront of the minds of punters with all levels of soccer betting sites, as Chelsea take on old foes Fulham.

For Chelsea, gaining momentum in the Premier League appears to be their ultimate aim, with some poor performances continuing to blight their season.

Meanwhile, Fulham should come into this one full of confidence, after managing an impressive win over Arsenal last time out and they will be bang up for this local derby.

Chelsea however, need a win after losing to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup in midweek and should get one here.

Newcastle United vs Manchester City

St James’s Park, 14th January 2024 – 05.30

Champions Manchester City face a stern test as they travel to Newcastle United, in what should be a raucous occasion at St James’s Park.

Toon haven’t hit the heights of last season under Eddie Howe but they have been able to rest a few players ahead of this one and they should be raring to go.

Meanwhile, City do look to be back in their groove after a dodgy spell before Christmas and they will be eager to keep putting pressure on Liverpool above them.

This will be a blockbuster clash, with the draw perhaps a result both sides will settle for.

Everton vs Aston Villa

Goodison Park, 15th January 2024 – 02.00

Everton will be eager to continue their attempted push away from the relegation zone as they take on high-flying Aston Villa.

The Toffees are a side improving under Sean Dyche but having endured a 10-point deduction, they have a job on their hands to preserve their Premier League status.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa are continuing to impress in the Premier League and they look to have a realistic chance of cracking the top 4 this season, which would be a remarkable achievement.

This should be a good game, with Villa most likely to clinch the points.

Manchester United vs Tottenham

Old Trafford, 15th January 2024 – 04.30

A superb clash lies in wait in Salford, as Manchester United take on Tottenham at Old Trafford.

United have lacked consistency all season but a couple of recent wins at home could give them a surge of confidence ahead of this one.

Tottenham meanwhile have seen their wings clipped a little after threatening to run away with the Premier League in October but they remain a side on the up under Ange Postecoglou.

This will be a superb one for the neutral, with goals and drama seemingly guaranteed and it could end up all square.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace

Emirates Stadium, 21st January 2024 – 00.30

Wobbling Arsenal will be desperate to get their Premier League title bid back on track, as they host Crystal Palace.

The Gunners have lost their last 3 games in all competitions and their form has been a huge cause for concern for all connected to the club.

Meanwhile, Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace are continuing to plug away at the bottom of the Premier League and they do tend to relish on occasions such as these.

This will be a very good game, with Arsenal sure to be confident of picking up a much-needed home win here.

Brentford vs Nottingham Forest

Gtech Community Stadium, 21st January 2024 – 05.30

Two sides that are beginning to slip into the relegation picture in the eyes of many punters and online soccer betting sites do battle, as Brentford host Nottingham Forest.

The Bees have been really struggling of late but the return of Ivan Toney is sure to give them a timely boost this month, as they look to pull away from any sort of relegation trouble.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest now have Nuno Espirito Santo in charge and they will be out to put in a solid performance on the road here, having won their last two league games.

This should be a good one, with a draw the most likely outcome in West London.

Sheffield United vs West Ham United

Sheffield United vs West Ham United

Relegation threatened Sheffield United take on West Ham, in what should be a cracking clash at Bramall Lane.

Chris Wilder has given the overall feeling at Sheffield United a big boost, but they still have a very big job on their hands if they are to pull away from relegation trouble this season.

West Ham meanwhile continue to improve under David Moyes and they continue to fight on three fronts, as they look to force their way into European football contention again this term.

Sheffield United will make this tough but West Ham have a strong sense of resolve and they should come out on top here.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool

Vitality Stadium, 21st January 2024 – 04.30

Table topping Liverpool will be looking to maintain their gap over the chasing pack, as they travel to in-form Bournemouth. The Cherries have been one of the stories of the Premier League in recent weeks and their performances will give them belief that they could trouble Liverpool in this one.

Not having a couple of key players won’t help Liverpool in this one but they remain a side full of confidence and they should be more than up for everything Bournemouth throw at them here.

Brighton vs Wolves

AMEX Stadium, 23rd January 2024 – 07.45

Brighton take on Wolves in what should be a fascinating Monday Night Football encounter to conclude the game week.

Inconsistency has blighted Brighton’s season so far but they remain firmly in the mix for a top 8 finish and they can always trouble any side they come up against.

Wolves meanwhile are a side showing continual improvement under Gary O’Neill but fixtures such as this are a real test of their credentials at Premier League level.

This should be a belter, with Brighton most likely to come out on top at home.
