Matchweek 20 Fixtures

Luton Town vs Chelsea

Kenilworth Road, 31st December 2023 – 00.30

Battling Luton Town will be out to continue their two-game winning streak, as they take on Chelsea.

The Hatters have shown real resilience in recent weeks and look to be ready to challenge the sides above them in the fight to stay in the division.

Chelsea meanwhile continue to perplex punters and betting apps as their inconsistent performances continue to hamper any potential progress under Mauricio Pochettino.

This should be a good game, which Chelsea should just about edge on the road.

Aston Villa v Burnley

Villa Park, 31st December 2023 – 03.00

It has been a superb first half of the season for Aston Villa, who will be looking to justify their elevated position with many soccer betting sites, as they welcome Burnley.

A couple of poor results has seen Villa’s progress checked somewhat in recent weeks, something they will be eager to rectify here.

Burnley were well beaten by Liverpool last time out but continue to look as if they are getting to grips with Premier League life.

This should be one-way traffic, with Villa likely to get back to winning ways.

Crystal Palace vs Brentford

Selhurst Park, 31st December 2023 – 03.00

Two London sides in a spot of bother face off, as Crystal Palace take on Brentford.

The Eagles are in a real pickle currently and Roy Hodgson is a man under pressure in the manager’s hotseat.

Brentford meanwhile have been crippled by injuries of late and they look to be in a relegation scrap, unless they can turn things around.

This will be a very tight one, with neither side in good form and it could well be a draw.

Manchester City vs Sheffield United

Etihad Stadium, 31st December 2023 – 03.00

Champions Manchester City will be eager to find form once again in front of their home fans, as they take on Sheffield United.

The blues are still in the title race, despite a barren patch and this has the look of a must-win game for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Sheffield United meanwhile will be able to play with freedom here, knowing there is no pressure on them but City need a win and they should get it here.

Wolves vs Everton

Molineux, 31st December 2023 – 03.00

Two teams eager to secure their Premier League status face off in the West Midlands, as Wolves take on Everton. A recent upturn in form has seen Wolves pull away from trouble for now and their home form could be important for their respective ambitions this term.

Everton meanwhile are also an improving side, but they need to bounce back from defeat to Manchester City last time out.

This will be tight, and it could end up being an entertaining draw at Molineux.

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United

City Ground, 31st December 2023 – 05.30

A rejuvenated Nottingham Forest will welcome Manchester United to the City Ground, in what should be a pulsating Premier League tie.

Forest have been under the pump this season but the arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo as manager has brought about an upturn in results, with a win at Newcastle on Boxing Day the highlight.

Manchester United meanwhile have also improved their outlook, following a dramatic comeback win against Aston Villa last time out.

This should be a very good watch, with goals guaranteed and a draw potentially on the cards.

Fulham vs Arsenal

Craven Cottage, 1st January 2024 – 02.00

A London Derby kicks off the New Year, as Fulham take on Arsenal at Craven Cottage.

Fulham have struggled for form of late, especially on the road and they will welcome a return home against a big side here.

Arsenal meanwhile slipped up at home to West Ham last time out, a result that very few soccer betting sites saw coming and they need to win here to keep pace in the title race.

Fulham will be bang up for this but Arsenal need a response and they will get it in style here.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 1st January 2024– 04.30

Tottenham will be looking to return to winning ways, as they take on in-form Bournemouth in north London.

Spurs slipped up heavily at Brighton last time out, and they will be eager to prove the doubters wrong in the pursuit of a top four finish.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth have been finding form of late, winning their last four games and climbing into the top half of the Premier League table.

This should be an entertaining game and whilst Bournemouth will feel confident, Tottenham should get the win here.

Liverpool vs Newcastle United

Anfield, 2nd January 2024 – 08.00

Table topping Liverpool will be desperate to keep their lead over the chasing pack, as they take on a struggling Newcastle United side.

The reds are flying at the moment and Liverpool fans are once again starting to believe that this could indeed be their year.

Newcastle United meanwhile are enduring a rough patch and they look to have their work cut out already if they are to crack the top 4.

This may not be pretty for Toon, with Liverpool ready to inflict some serious damage on them at Anfield.

West Ham United vs Brighton

London Olympic Stadium, 3rd January 2024 – 08.00

The final match of the game week pits two sides in decent form against each other, as West Ham United take on Brighton.

Wins over Arsenal and Manchester United in their last two games have propelled the Hammers up the table and David Moyes’s men are dreaming of European football again next season.

Brighton meanwhile continue to impress under Roberto de Zerbi and their 4-2 thumping of Tottenham was hugely impressive in midweek.

This should be a belter, with a draw potentially the outcome at the Olympic Stadium
