Top 4 chasing Newcastle United will be looking to put their strong home record to good effect, as they take on Nottingham Forest.
Toon haven’t hit the heights of last season under Eddie Howe and with plenty of other sides improving too, they have work to do if they are to be playing Champions League football next season.
Nottingham Forest are being tipped with a few betting apps to be battling the drop this season and whilst they have a new manager in Nuno Espirito Santo, they will probably find this tough going here at St James’s Park.

Calling this one is tough, with home advantage perhaps telling for Sheffield United.

Title chasing Liverpool will be looking to set the pace on Boxing Day, as they travel to a revitalised Burnley side.
For Vincent Kompany’s Clarets, this will be a chance to have a crack at one of the big boys, in front of their passionate home support.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will want to get back to winning ways – having drawn their last two games against Manchester United and Arsenal.
Burnley will be up for this one but Liverpool should win on the road.

Soul searching will be the order of the day at Old Trafford, as a struggling Manchester United side take on Aston Villa.
United have been very poor this season and it looks as if the top 4 may even be beyond Erik ten Hag’s side at this point.
Aston Villa meanwhile are flying high in the top 4 and they will see this as a chance to prove their worth in the Champions League mix this season.
This will be a good game and although Villa are confident, a draw could well be the outcome.

Following yet another defeat for Chelsea, this time at the hands of Wolves – it is now crunch time in the Premier League.
The blues were outfought at Molineux and know they will be in for a serious challenge here against a plucky Crystal Palace side.
For the Eagles, this is a true free hit and they will be feeling confident they can get a result on the road here.
However, Chelsea need a win and they may well manage to get it at Stamford Bridge.

Two sides hoping to crack the top half are Brentford and Wolves and the pair clash in West London.
Injuries have checked the progress of Brentford but they remain a side that all soccer betting sites are very wary of.

City have a tough schedule and injuries to manage and they could drop more points on the road here in Merseyside.

A blockbuster clash is on the agenda on the South coast, as Brighton host Tottenham.
The Seagulls haven’t hit the heights of previous seasons, but they are always an entertaining watch and they will fancy their chances here.
Tottenham however are playing with renewed vim and vigour and they look well placed to have a real crack at least the top 4 this season.
This should be a good one, which Tottenham will fancy prevailing in.

A London derby concludes the schedule, with Arsenal hosting West Ham in what should be a belter at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are top of the table at Christmas, and they will be eager to keep the chasing pack at bay over the festive period.
West Ham had too much for Manchester United last time out and will take heart from that result on the road here.
This won’t be a landslide, but Arsenal should prevail in this one at home.
