Chelsea's woes continued as they slumped to another damaging home defeat, this time against Brentford. Meanwhile, Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah celebrated his recall to the starting lineup by hitting a stunning first Premier League hat-trick in a 5-0 victory over struggling Sheffield United.

Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea had shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, accumulating seven points from their last three fixtures. However, their performance against Brentford at Stamford Bridge was lackluster, and they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat. This result means Chelsea has only managed one home win in their last 13 Premier League games.

The problems for Chelsea began to surface when Ethan Pinnock took advantage of non-existent marking to head the visitors in front shortly before the hour mark. Despite Chelsea's dominance in the first half, they failed to capitalize on their opportunities.

The situation worsened for Chelsea in added time when goalkeeper Robert Sanchez joined his team's attack for a corner. Unfortunately, Sanchez was embarrassed as he failed to catch Neal Maupay, allowing Bryan Mbeumo to score into an empty net.

This disappointing loss to Brentford has seen them slip further down the Premier League table. Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino expressed his dissatisfaction after the match, acknowledging the club's poor home record, "I'm not happy and think the players also and the whole club is not happy about the run (at home). It's a long time that we need to be more consistent here and very disappointed with this. We feel the responsibility that we need to change the dynamic."

One of the notable issues for Chelsea has been their lack of clinical finishing in front of the goal. Pochettino stated, "If you don't score, you need to blame ourselves. We were not nasty or clinical in front of the goal."

On the other hand, Arsenal, who had drawn with Chelsea the previous week after coming back from 2-0 down, displayed a completely different performance. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta made changes to his starting lineup, including dropping captain Martin Odegaard to the bench.
Eddie Nketiah, who replaced the injured Gabriel Jesus as Arsenal's target man, seized the opportunity to shine. He scored a swivelled finish, giving Arsenal a 28th-minute lead. Nketiah added two more goals in the second half, one being a stunning strike from distance.

Substitutes Fabio Vieira and Takehiro Tomiyasu further extended Arsenal's lead with a penalty and a close-range finish. This 5-0 win allowed Arsenal to move up to the second spot in the Premier League table, just two points behind leaders Tottenham.

Eddie Nketiah celebrated his hat-trick with emotional dedication: "It's amazing. It's not been easy - last month I lost my aunty, so I want to dedicate these three goals to her. Her family was here watching, so it is a really special moment."

In another Premier League fixture, Bournemouth came from behind to secure their first league win of the season against Burnley. Antoine Semenyo scored a fine solo effort, and Philip Billing sealed the victory with a sensational lob from distance.

The game between Wolves and Newcastle ended in a 2-2 draw. Callum Wilson's double gave Newcastle a 2-1 lead at halftime, but South Korea international Hwang Hee-chan scored a brilliant equalizer for Wolves in the 71st minute.

Chelsea's struggles continue at home, while Arsenal's Nketiah enjoys a memorable hat-trick. Bournemouth secured their first league win, and Wolves managed to draw with Newcastle after a spirited comeback. The Premier League continues to provide surprises and entertaining football.
