Erling Haaland is out to prove the doubters wrong

News Insights

  • Manchester City striker Erling Haaland managed 52 goals last season.
  • The Norwegian has managed 29 goals in 35 games this term.
  • His Manchester City side are currently 3rd in the EPL table.
  • The blues are looking to become the first team ever to win 4 PL titles on the spin.

In recent times, very few arrivals into the Premier League have transcended beyond football fans in the way that Erling Haaland has.

Signed by Manchester City for just over £50 million, Haaland’s goal tally of 52 last term saw City win the Treble.

A second season blip seemed inevitable, but Haaland is still recording excellent numbers this term and he is in line to win a second Golden Boot with many EPL betting sites

Goal Machine

Aged just 23, Erling Haaland still has the world at his feet and the impact he has enjoyed at the Etihad has been seismic.

The Norwegian scored over a goal per game in his first Premier League campaign – netting 36 goals in 35 appearances.

Despite injury issues this term, Haaland has still managed 18 goals in just 24 games and his profligacy in front of goal is simply unrivalled.

City continue to battle

Winning three Premier League titles in a row is no mean feat and winning 4 has never been done before.

Manchester City have been insatiable under Pep Guardiola for the best part of a decade, but Liverpool and Arsenal are pushing them all the way this season.

The blues sit third in the table, withing 3 points of both of the sides above them and whilst they have work to do, writing them off in the title race feels unwise.

Haaland attack

As with any successful player, small dips in a career are expected and such is the nature of the EPL that pundits and betting sites will be out to kick people when they are down.

Former Manchester United workhorse Roy Keane has labelled Erling Haaland a League Two player in recent times, comments that could spark plenty of fire within Haaland.

And should the Norwegian feel fired up, the rest of the Premier League may need to look out as he could be ready to propel Manchester City back up to the top of the EPL table.
