The table topping Bulldogs take a break this week, but the rest of the NRL are set to grace the pitch to close the gap with the leaders. Can the Panthers silence the alarm bells with a much-needed win over the Dolphins? Can the Rabbitohs keep their dream start alive despite the injury setbacks? Here are our NRL predictions for Round 6 with odds sourced from new betting sites.

Dolphins vs Penrith Panthers
After breaking their winless streak with a statement victory over the Titans, the Dolphins are set to take on the Panthers at Suncorp to kick off Round 6. Kristian Woolf’s men lit up the first half with a 16-0 blitz and cruised to a 26-point win. But getting the Dolphins their first win over Penrith won’t be easy come Thursday night.
To be fair, if there were ever a time to break the drought, it’s now—Penrith have dropped four in a row and are off to a shaky 1-4 start. However, the reigning premiers are still the favourites heading into this clash and we believe they will be able to return to winning ways at the Dolphins’ expense.

St. George Illawarra Dragons vs Gold Coast Titans
The Dragons are eyeing a rebound at WIN Stadium against the Titans this Friday night after a crushing overtime loss to Parramatta that left them just one point short—and with a third loss on the board.
St George Illawarra have history on their side, winning four of their last meetings with the Titans, including both fixtures in 2023. As for the Titans, they’ll also be looking to regroup after a rough outing at home in Round 5, where a dreadful first half against the Dolphins proved too much to claw back.
It’s been a season of fine margins for Shane Flanagan’s men, but they’ll fancy their chances of finally seeing one through against the Titans.

Brisbane Broncos vs Sydney Roosters
It’s a top-versus-bottom showdown at Suncorp Stadium to close out Friday’s double-header. The Broncos are on a roll, claiming three straight wins over the Cowboys, Dolphins, and Tigers. In their latest outing, they tore through the Tigers with a 32-point second half — their best stretch of footy in 2025.
The performance was enough to convince betting apps that the Broncos are the second likeliest team to become the NRL champion this season, with their outright odds shortening to $4.50.
Things couldn't be more different for the Roosters, who sit bottom of the ladder after falling to the Rabbitohs by six points last weekend. The Broncos should pick up a comfortable win in this one and continue their strong start to 2025.

Cronulla Sharks vs Manly Sea Eagles
Both the Sharks and Sea Eagles will be out to make amends for last week's losses when they clash at Optus Stadium in a Saturday afternoon battle.
The Sharks were left stunned in Canberra as the Raiders snatched victory with a last-gasp try. Down 20-18, Canberra flung the ball from sideline to sideline before storming 55 metres downfield on the final play to break Sharks hearts.
The Sea Eagles came up short in a high-scoring clash against Melbourne last weekend, leaving them with three wins from their opening five matches. They managed to defeat the Sharks on the road last season, and based on current form, they'll fancy their chances of doing it again.
Official Squads
Sharks: 1. William Kennedy 2. Samuel Stonestreet 3. Jesse Ramien 4. Mawene Hiroti 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Braydon Trindall 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Oregon Kaufusi 11. Briton Nikora 12. Teig Wilton 13. Cameron McInnes 14. Daniel Atkinson 15. Thomas Hazelton 16. Toby Rudolf 17. Siosifa Talakai
Sea Eagles: 1. Lehi Hopoate 2. Jason Saab 3. Tolutau Koula 4. Reuben Garrick 5. Clayton Faulalo 6. Luke Brooks 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Josh Aloiai 9. Jazz Tevaga 10. Siosiua Taukeiaho 11. South Sydney Rabbitohs vs North Queensland Cowboys
Optus Stadium will hold another NRL match right after hosting the Sharks vs Sea Eagles. The Rabbitohs will hope to extend their winning streak to three matches as they take on a resurgent Cowboys side.
The Rabbitohs produced a remarkable comeback win against the Roosters last weekend to continue their dream run under Wayne Bennett. They have only lost once in the season so far, but they face a stern test against a Cowboys team that has found its footing.
After a disastrous start to the campaign, the North Queensland team has posted back-to-back victories. That said, we believe their winning run stops here, with the Rabbitohs currently looking too strong to topple.
Official Squads
Rabbitohs: 1. Jye Gray 2. Isaiah Tass 3. Euan Aitken 4. Jack Wighton 5. Alex Johnston 6. Latrell Mitchell 7. Jayden Sullivan 8. Sean Keppie 9. Peter Mamouzelos 10. Tevita Tatola 11. Keaon Koloamatangi 12. Jai Arrow 13. Lachlan Hubner 14. Siliva Havili 15. Liam Le Blanc 16. Tallis Duncan 17. Davvy Moale
Cowboys: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Robert Derby 3. Jaxon Purdue 4. Viliami Vailea 5. Murray Taulagi 6. Tom Dearden 7. Jake Clifford 8. Jordan McLean 9. Reece Robson 10. Jason Taumalolo 11. John Bateman 12. Kai O'Donnell 13. Reuben Cotter 14. Sam McIntyre 15. Jeremiah Nanai 16. Griffin Neame 17. Coen Hess
Parramatta Eels vs Canberra Raiders
Last placed Parramatta Eels arrested their losing slump with a nail-biting victory against the Dragons. Jason Ryles’ men will now look to put together a winning run by picking up another victory against the Raiders in the final Saturday night match.
The head-to-head record, however, doesn't favour the hosts in this fixture. The Raiders have claimed 23 wins compared to the Eels' 17, and the capital side are currently enjoying a three-game winning streak against their Parramatta rivals.
The Raiders were back to their best against the Sharks after suffering back-to-back setbacks. A similar show of grit and determination should help them better the Eels with ease.
Official Squads
Eels: 1. Isaiah Iongi 2. Sean Russell 3. Viliami Penisini 4. Zac Lomax 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Dylan Brown 7. Dean Hawkins 8. Joe Ofahengaue 9. Ryley Smith 10. Junior Paulo 11. Shaun Lane 12. Kitione Kautoga 13. J'maine Hopgood 14. Dylan Walker 15. Luca Moretti 16. Sam Tuivaiti 17. Charlie Guymer
Raiders: 1. Kaeo Weekes 2. Savelio Tamale 3. Matthew Timoko 4. Sebastian Kris 5. Xavier Savage 6. Ethan Strange 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Josh Papali'i 9. Tom Starling 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Hudson Young 12. Matt Nicholson 13. Corey Horsburgh 14. Owen Pattie 15. Simi Sasagi 16. Morgan Smithies 17. Ata Mariota
Melbourne Storm vs New Zealand Warriors
The AAMI Park crowd will be hoping for a blockbuster clash on Sunday afternoon as third meets fourth on the ladder. Melbourne return home after two weeks on the road, while the Warriors will aim to make the most of their extra rest following a bye.
The four-time NRL Premiers have an excellent record against their trans-Tasman rivals at home. Melbourne have not lost at home to the Warriors since 2018, that means seven straight losses for the New Zealanders here in their last seven visits.
Both sides have been in solid form of late, setting the stage for a tightly contested affair. We're leaning towards the Storm to edge it out though.
Official Squads
Storm: 1. Ryan Papenhuyzen 2. William Warbrick 3. Jack Howarth 4. Grant Anderson 5. Xavier Coates 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 9. Harry Grant 10. Josh King 11. Shawn Blore 12. Eliesa Katoa 13. Trent Loiero 14. Tyran Wishart 15. Alec MacDonald 16. Tui Kamikamica 17. Lazarus Vaalepu
Warriors: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Taine Tuaupiki 3. Rocco Berry 4. Ali Leiataua 5. Adam Pompey 6. Chanel Harris-Tavita 7. Luke Metcalf 8. James Fisher-Harris 9. Wayde Egan 10. Mitchell Barnett 11. Kurt Capewell 12. Marata Niukore 13. Erin Clark 14. Tanah Boyd 15. Jackson Ford 16. Demitric Vaimauga 17. Leka Halasima
Newcastle Knights vs Wests Tigers
The Newcastle Knights and Wests Tigers will feature in the final act of the week. The Knights return to the comfort of the McDonald Jones Stadium after losing two games on the road. Kalyn Ponga and company will hope to recapture the form of their first two matches of the season and return to winning ways.
The Knights will find it hard to shake off last week’s dismal showing against the Bulldogs, where they could not muster a single point. Newcastle boss Adam O'Brien must have gone back to the drawing board to figure out how to improve his team’s attacking output after two low-scoring outings.
After consecutive losses to the Broncos and Warriors, the Tigers will also be keen to stop their decline. They will be looking for a chance versus a Knights team that has lately found it difficult to score, and we fancy their chances with lucrative odds across NRL betting sites.
Official Squads
Knights: 1. Kalyn Ponga 2. Taj Annan 3. Dane Gagai 4. Bradman Best 5. Greg Marzhew 6. Fletcher Sharpe 7. Jack Cogger 8. Brodie Jones 9. Phoenix Crossland 10. Leo Thompson 11. Kai Pearce-Paul 12. Tyson Frizell 13. Adam Elliott 14. Jayden Brailey 15. Thomas Cant 16. Jermaine McEwen 17. Mathew Croker
Tigers: 1. Jahream Bula 2. Sunia Turuva 3. Adam Doueihi 4. Starford To'a 5. Luke Laulilii 6. Lachlan Galvin 7. Jarome Luai 8. Terrell May 9. Apisai Koroisau 10. Fonua Pole 11. Jack Bird 12. Alex Seyfarth 13. Alex Twal 14. Tallyn Da Silva 15. Royce Hunt 16. Tony Sukkar 17. Sione Fainu
