Can Collingwood win back-to-back AFL’s?

Winning the AFL title inevitably puts a bounty on the head of any side and Collingwood suffered in the opening weeks of the 2024 AFL season. 
 
The Magpies suffered losses to both Sydney sides and St Kilda, with the sharks circling to write them off this season. 
 
However, Collingwood have bounced back well and are unbeaten in their last 6, as they look to establish themselves as AFL championship contenders with all AFL betting sites.

Horror start 

Losing the three games at the beginning of the season was one thing for Collingwood, especially with both Sydney sides looking like AFL title contenders in 2024. 
 
The manner of those defeats was a huge concern for all connected with the Magpies though, as the toll of the 2023 campaign looked to be setting in. 
 
A subsequent draw with Essendon on match day 7 has been the only blotch on the copybook for Collingwood since though. 
 
Injury crisis 

For all the negativity surrounding Collingwood at the start of the season, the fact remains that they are in the midst of an injury crisis. 
 
Exemplified by former teacher and VFL player Joe Richards having to be brought in from the cold for Collingwood this week to make his AFL debut. 
 
However, for all the problems they have endured, Collingwood remain firmly in the mix for the 2024 AFL title with many all punters and AFL betting sites.  
 
Back-to-back? 

The draft system in the AFL does tend to level the playing field nicely and Collingwood knew at the beginning of the season that winning the AFL title again in 2024 would be a tall order. 
 
However, they have shown real resilience in bouncing back from their poor start and who knows the limits of their campaign this season.
