AFL 2025 Best Tips and Multi Bet of the Weekend | Round 9

Another round, another awesome group of games. A few top eight clashes, the Adelaide Showdown and the top of the table Lions taking on the second-last Kangaroos, this round has a little bit of everything. May 9, 7.40pm, MCG

Two teams with contrasting fortunes last time out. The Saints thumped the Dockers 94-33, meanwhile, the Blues were handed a convincing loss against the Crows, 50-110. That loss to the Crows ended a three-game winning streak for the Blues.

The Blues are the favourites right now and that surprises me a little. I think the Saints deserve to be closer in the odds, but that means there’s a bit of value for them and I’ll take it! I’ll be playing it safe, though, take the Saints to cover the line at +7.5 with Bet365 @ $1.91.

May 10, 4.15pm, Marvel Stadium

The Bombers and the Swans are both coming off wins last time out. The Bombers got the win over the Kangaroos, meanwhile the Swans were victorious against the Giants. The Bombers have been hit with a few injuries, with Harrison Jones, Jordan Ridley and Jade Gresham all out.

Lewis Melican is out for the Swans, but I still think there is more upside with the Swans, even though they are playing at Marvel Stadium. The Swans have won the last three games against the Bombers. Unibet is currently offering $1.60 for the Swans to claim victory.

May 10, 8.10pm, Adelaide Oval 

We see another Adelaide Showdown on Saturday and the Power are coming off a massive loss, while the Crows are coming off a massive win and are eyeing off a top-four spot. The Power are pretty inconsistent, making it difficult to back them with any confidence.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Power keep this one close, but with the line only at +9.5, I think the Crows will still be able to cover that. You can play it safe and take the Crows head-to-head, but the Crows -9.5 with Betfocus @ $1.90 looks enticing as well.
