Another major round of footy is on the cards in Round 8. The Magpies remain on the top of the table on 24 points and the Lions are also on 24 points, sitting in second place. On the other end of the spectrum sits the Eagles, who are still yet to get their first win of 2025 on the board. I’ve gone through all the games and found a three-leg multi that I’m confident in. My free AFL multi tips have landed at MyBettingAustralia.
AFL 2025 Best Tips and Multi Bet of the Weekend | Round 8

AFL Multi Bet of the Weekend
St Kilda Saints vs Fremantle Dockers
May 2, 7.40pm, Marvel Stadium
The Saints are on a bit of a slide coming into this game and will need a win here to put an end to their three-game winning streak. The Dockers managed to get the win last time out, 85-67, against the Crows. The form is a little inconsistent for each team but there is more upside to the Dockers.
The Dockers are currently the favourites and I do think they’ll get the win here. You can play it safe, but I think the Dockers are good enough to cover the line and hand the Saints a reasonable loss. MidasBet is offering the line at just -4.5 for the Dockers @ $1.88, I’ll take that thank you!
Adelaide Crows vs Carlton Blues
May 3, 4.15pm, Adelaide Oval
The Blues are making the trip over to Adelaide for this twilight clash on Saturday. We all know just how passionate the Adelaide fans can be and that has to be worth a goal or two, right? The Crows will be looking to get back on the board with a win here after going down to the Dockers 67-85 last time out.
Meanwhile, the Blues are on a three-game winning streak, but two of those wins have come from teams near the bottom. There isn’t a lot of consistency in the Blues and I think the Crows will be at their best for a great home performance. Take the Crows to cover the spread, at -12.5 with Bet365 @ $1.91.
Collingwood Magpies vs Geelong Cats
May 3, 7.35pm, MCG
It’s probably the game of the round when we see the Magpies take on the Cats. For the Magpies, Dan McStay is set for a stint on the sidelines after an MCL injury. They still got the win last time out though and they haven’t lost since Round 1. A win here would likely see the Pies keep top spot on the ladder.
Meanwhile, the Cats had their three-game winning streak snapped last time out, thanks to the Blues, 76-94. That was a poor performance that might stay in the minds of players for a while. The Magpies are the better team and will likely prove too strong. PlayUp is currently offering $1.60 for the Magpies to win.
