AFL Best Tips and Multi Bet of the Weekend | Round 1

The AFL is back with a full schedule in Round 1. We are treated to nine games and we are going to see some epic battles take place. I’ve looked through all the games and found a three-leg multi that looks the goods. My free AFL multi tips have landed at MyBettingAustralia.

March 13th, 7.20pm, MCG

Let’s kick this multi off with the first game of the round. The Carlton Blues look like they’ll run away with this one. Charlie Curnow may be out for the Blues, but they will be good enough to get the job done convincingly against a team that finished on the bottom of the ladder in 2024.

The Blues will win this one, it’s all about by how much. The line is currently at -49.5 @ $1.88 for the Blues at Betfocus and I reckon the Blues will get that. Carlton has won their last two matches against the Tigers and last time out, their victory was by 61.

March 15th, 1.20pm, GMHBA Stadium

Two genuine Premiership contenders do battle on Saturday afternoon in what could be the match of the round. The Cats, playing at home, are the favourites coming into this one and while I’ll be jumping on them, I’m trying something a little different for my multi. I think Max Holmes will be looking to make his mark in this one.
 
He has that ability to burst from the contest, so look for a high number of disposals from him on Saturday. Last season, he averaged 18.5 disposals per game and I think he’ll look to start with a bang. Unibet has Max Holmes 25+ disposals @ $1.56.

March 15th, 4.15pm, SCG

The 2024 Grand Final rematch comes early in the 2025 season and the Swans will certainly be looking to right some wrongs after going down by 60 in the Grand Final. The Swans will also be looking to bounce back after losing in the Opening Round.

It may be early, but the Swans already need a win and that desperation should get them over the line here. The home crowd should help and they have a match under their belt. Isaac Heeney should also have a better performance here. Swans to get a small win, 1-39 @ $2.60 with PlayUp.
