NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

The first week of finals is in the books and how exciting was it! The Broncos kept the Storm to nil, the Panthers put on a clinic against the Warriors while the Roosters knocked the Sharks out with a 1-point win and the Knights beat the Raiders in extra time. We cashed our multi of the week at over $5 and we are back this week, with a try scorer across from both games.

Melbourne Storm vs Sydney Roosters

September 15th, 19:50, AAMI Park

Kicking off the round we have the Storm hosting the Roosters. The Storm are coming off a disappointing loss in which they were held scoreless against the Broncos, while the Roosters pulled off a heroic comeback after a late sinbin to beat the Sharks. The Roosters win was extremely gutsy considering the casualties they took in the game. Manu reinjured his hamstring, Suaalii didn’t play the second half due to a concussion and Billy Smith went off with a broken jaw. These 3 will not be playing this week and will cause a massive backline reshuffle for the Roosters.

The Roosters right edge will consist of either Momirovski or Allan at center, with Paulo outside of them, all of which have not played consistent footy recently. Considering the Storm favor their left edge, which is also the weaker edge of the Roosters defensively, I am taking Justin Olam anytime try scorer @2.60 on TopSport.

New Zealand Warriors vs Newcastle Knights

September 16th, 16:05, Go Media Stadium

For our second leg of the multi of the week, we look to the Warriors hosting the Knights. The Warriors are coming off a disappointing loss against the Panthers, while the Knights are coming off a close victory against the Raiders. This one is a great game on paper, with the Warriors having the edge at home, but lacking the form they had earlier in the season, struggling in the past few weeks. The Knights on the other hand just won their 10th game in a row, although last week was far from a flawless performance. The Warriors welcome back Shaun Johnson this week and I expect this one to have points all over it.

The Knights’ left edge has been dominant all year since Ponga moved to fullback, sweeping perfectly and creating space for Best and Marzhew. 40% of the Knights tries have come down this left edge, and Marzhew has scored in 9 out of his last 10 games. I can’t believe the odds we are getting here, I have to take Marzhew any time try scorer @2.13 on TopSport.
