The beginning of the calendar year is a key time for all NBA franchises, with jostling for league position essential as the playoffs loom.

Having endured the well-documented 28-game losing streak, the Pistons have won just 3 games all season and they look to be in a real funk currently. 

San Antonio Spurs meanwhile have suffered a similar plight, winning just of their games played this season and they look to be rooted to the bottom of the Western Conference. 

Confidence is low in both camps, making this one a tough game to call but perhaps the San Antonio Spurs could have a little too much quality when it matters for the lowly Pistons.

Sacramento Kings to win the match @ 1.90 (BlueBet)

Challenging at the sharp end of the Western Conference has long been the aim for the Sacramento Kings and they look to be finally fulfilling their promise with many NBA international betting sites this season. 

They travel to the Charlotte Hornets next, a side that have been plagued by inconsistency in the East this term but who can, on their day, challenge anybody. 

This should be a super game for the neutral and whilst the Hornets will be up for the challenge, the Sacramento Kings are in good form this season and they should prevail here.
