Race is on to be the 2024 NBA MVP.

The 2024 NBA season is very much heading towards crunch time, with franchises across the country vying for position in both the Eastern and Western Conferences. One of the key battles which intrigues punters and NBA online betting sites is the race to be crowned MVP and all of the biggest players in the division are stepping up their game when it matters most.

Odds Table – Top favorites

Favorites to Win the NBA MVP

Joel Embiid

The Philadelphia 76ers have been ticking along very nicely indeed over in the East and the consistency of Joel Embiid has been a huge part of that. Seeking Winning back to back NBA MVP titles is the personal accolade up for grabs for Embiid but he continues to put his body on the line for the team and he will hope to continue to make a telling contribution this season.

Joel Embiid’s season so far

A couple of recent defeats to the Indiana Pacers and the Denver Nuggets have clipped the wings of the 76ers somewhat in recent days but Joel Embiid continues to put in some serious numbers. A recent 70-point haul against the San Antonio Spurs was a masterclass and with his average points per game now at almost 28, he remains the one to beat in the NBA MVP race with many online betting sites

Nikola Jokic

Having seen Joel Embiid take the MVP title off him last season, Nikola Jokic seems to be hell bent on winning it back in 2024. The powerful Serb has been hugely influential again for the Denver Nuggets, who are defending their NBA Championship title very well, and Jokic remains a front runner for the 2024 NBA MVP title with old and new betting sites alike.

Nikola Jokic’s season so far

When it comes to putting numbers on the board, very few players can compete with Nikola Jokic. Averaging over 26 points per game, as well as 12 rebounds, his very presence on the court strikes fear into any opposition. If he can continue to have a meaningful impact for the Denver Nuggets this season, they and he could be picking up more glory at the end of the campaign.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

The 2024 NBA season has been a real coming of age campaign for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his performances for the Oklahoma City Thunder have certainly caused a stir with many NBA online betting sites. Thriving in a side full of confidence and creativity, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is really starting to stake a claim to be crowned the 2024 NBA MVP.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s season so far

It has been an incredible season for Oklahoma City Thunder, who are firmly in the mix in the Western Conference and the performances of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have been a huge part of that. Averaging over 30 points per game, he looks to feat nobody currently and his name is firmly in the 2024 NBA MVP conversation.

Luka Doncic

Aged just 24, it is hard to fathom the consistency Luka Doncic has displayed in the NBA, with the Slovene becoming the 4th highest point scorer of all time in the league. He continues to be the main man, in a Dallas Mavericks side that continue to tick over nicely and his performances will have a direct impact on how far the Mavs can go this season, in the eyes of many NBA betting apps.

Luka Doncic’s season so far

Despite having to battle a few niggling injuries this season, Luka Doncic continues to put some superb numbers on the board. Averaging 34.4 points per game, including an incredible 73-point personal haul against the Atlanta Hawks, Doncic remains one of the most prolific NBA performers and he will be in the mix for MVP glory this term, provided he stays fit.

Bet on Luka Doncic to be crowned the 2023/24 NBA MVP @ 8.00 with BlueBet.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Whilst it has been all change at the Milwaukee Bucks in the past month or so, the performances of Giannis Antetokounmpo have continually been good this season. The ‘Greek Freak’ has been single-handedly keeping the Bucks in the mix in the Eastern Conference at times this season and he looks to be at the peak of his powers currently.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s season so far

Any player averaging over 30 points per game and with almost 11 rebounds per game is doing something right in the NBA, but it is perhaps because of the incredible standards he has set that these numbers seem normal for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Should he continue to hit those heights this season, both he and the Bucks could be in for some end of season silverware.

Jayson Tatum

The Boston Celtics remain in pole position to win the NBA Championship this season and the talismanic Jayson Tatum remains a huge part of their winning machine. Sat pretty at the top of the Eastern Conference, the Celtics will be eager to keep things ticking over through the start of 2024, as they chase down NBA Championship glory – for the first time since 2008.

Jayson Tatum’s season so far

Identifying a key performer in a Boston Celtics side that tends to win far more often than it loses is tough, but Jayson Tatum has certainly had a season to remember. With a 26.8 season points average and plenty of rebounds to boot too, Jayson Tatum will be hopeful that his performances can help propel the Boston Celtics to NBA Championship glory.

Bet on Jayson Tatum to be crowned the 2023/24 NBA MVP @ 26.00 with Bluebet.

MVP Second Tier Contenders

Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards has always been a prolific performer in the NBA, ever since making his breakthrough with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2020 but this has certainly been his best season so far. With the Timberwolves going well in the West, Edwards has been playing like a man possessed and he will look to finish the season strongly too.

Anthony Edwards’s season so far

Having gone under the radar somewhat in the first few weeks of the season, both Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves have propelled themselves into contention with many NBA online betting sites. Averaging almost 26 points per game, Edwards appears to be thriving in the Timberwolves side, who are chasing more than just NBA Western Conference glory this season.

Bet on Anthony Edwards to be crowned the 2023/24 NBA MVP @ 46.00 with BlueBet

Kevin Durant

Aged 35, it is testament to the fitness levels and longevity of Kevin Durant that he is still firmly in the conversation to be crowned the 2024 NBA MVP. Whilst the Phoenix Suns haven’t been at their best this season, Durant has continued to put some good showings in, and his points record is right up there amongst the best in the NBA this term.

Kevin Durant’s season so far

Averaging the best part of 29 points per game, in a Phoenix Suns side that have really struggled for both consistency and form, is representative of just how good Kevin Durant has been in 2024. Whether it will be enough to pick up the MVP going remains to be seen but when Kevin Durant is in action, fans tend to stand up and take note.

Bet on Kevin Durant to be crowned the 2023/24 NBA MVP @ 61.00 with BlueBet.

Tyrese Haliburton

In the race of the NBA MVP crown, there is always one player who has their campaign derailed by injury and that narrative can certainly be portrayed for Tyrese Haliburton. A key man in an Indiana Pacers side that have been in superb form this season, Haliburton has missed the last 10 games through injury – a real stumbling block in his MVP quest with many NBA multi betting sites

Tyrese Haliburton’s season so far

The Indiana Pacers have coped admirably in the absence of Tyrese Haliburton and whilst the end of the season is within sight, he still has plenty of time to return and make an impact. For the Pacers, contending in the playoffs in the Eastern Conference would represent an excellent season and if Haliburton can return and push them to NBA glory, he will certainly be in NBA MVP contention this season.

2024/24 NBA MVP MyBettingAustralia Prediction

The 2024 NBA season has been gripping, with plenty of players staking their claims to pick up individual awards but one man appears to be cutting away from the chasing pack.

Defending MVP winner Joel Embiid is managing to stay fit for the Philadelphia 76ers and his continued numbers make him the standout candidate to go all the way and clinch his second consecutive NBA MVP title in 2024.
