My confidence is high in this selection as the standout Saturday bet, here is why. Last start runner-up performance signals a big run incoming. Last outing, Mr Brightside took on a 1400m race at Caulfield and finished 2nd. Carried 59kg, started at $2.60, and handled a good surface. A wide draw means it might have to do extra work early. At this stage, Craig Williams is listed to ride his on Saturday. They should settle nicely into this race. Trainer Ben, Will & JD Hayes has given his the all clear to run on Saturday. Track form stacks up - could add another win here at Caulfield. Has raced 10 times at this track, with 5 wins and 4 seconds.

THREAT - #2 I Wish I Win
I Wish I Win is a well-priced contender with the ability to upset the field. Last race saw a finish outside the top four, looking to bounce back with stronger form. Jockey Jamie Melham will be in the saddle this Saturday. Has a great winning strike rate. Proven performer at this venue, winning before. Also loves running fresh, he has 3 wins in 8 starts when he’s first-up.

ROUGHIE - #4 Tom Kitten
At a big price, Tom Kitten could deliver a shock result. A determined third-place finish last race, never giving in. Tom Kitten stepped out at Rosehill, finishing 3rd over 1500m. Raced on a good surface, carrying 57.5kg under B Melham. Jockey Ben Melham will ride this runner. This jockey is known for his ability to time the run perfectly. Tom Kitten is trained by James Cummings. Can be competitive when everything falls into place. Wouldn’t be surprised if it finishes close.

GET ON - #1 Field Of Play
With a few starts under its belt, Field Of Play is eager to continue its development in race three. Last time out, Field Of Play competed over 1100m, placing 1st at Caulfield. Jumped from barrier 5, carried 57kg, and starting price of $2.90 odds. With a good bloodline, I think this horse can make this a day to remember. Every time it’s lined up at this trip of 1200m, it’s delivered - big danger again. Caulfield Racecourse and this runner have been good before. He really loves the conditions that this track offers. Winning is second nature to this one, undefeated so far. A favourable gate could give it a tactical advantage. Solid on good tracks, winning 2 times from 2 runs. This horse could pop up for a win at nice odds.

THREAT - #14 Cherish Me
After a solid debut, Cherish Me is set to prove itself further in the second start. Trained by Ciaron Maher. If history is anything to go by, this one is a lock. In the saddle will be Jamie Melham on Saturday. Another big run looks well on the cards at Caulfield, usually loves a good track rating. An outside gate could see it settle in a handy position. One to watch.

ROUGHIE - #9 Palm Angel
Last race saw a brilliant performance, ending in victory. Palm Angel stepped out at Caulfield, finishing 1st over 1100m. Raced on a good surface, carrying 56kg under Ethan Brown. Has the speed to make use of an inside barrier. This Saturday, Ethan Brown will be in the saddle and ready for a win. This race looks suitable for this tactical rider. Has been trained by Jason Warren and comes off some trial runs. Loves racing at the Caulfield track and should go close again. Handles this track well, boasting 2 wins from 2 runs. Good strike rate when it races on a good track.

I think She's Bulletproof has the strongest chance on the Saturday card. Showed great turn of foot to claim victory last race. She's Bulletproof ran at Sandown-Lakeside on 01/02/2025, finishing 1st in a 1200m event. Jockey Mark Zahra was aboard, carrying 56kg. Track was rated good. A wide draw means it might have to do extra work early. Jockey Craig Williams gets the ride on Saturday. They're a talented jockey with a pretty good race sense. No wins over this distance of 1100m, but this could be the day. Winless at Caulfield - needs to lift to turn that around, this could be her race to do it. I think it will run well.

THREAT - #1 I Am Me
I Am Me presents excellent value for those looking beyond the favourites. Last race result placed outside the top four, yet displaying some strong moments. I Am Me lined up at Rosehill, finishing 9th over 1300m. Backed at $10.00, jumped from barrier 5, and carried 55.5kg under Zac Lloyd. Winning as often as not on good tracks, could go it again. Jockey Nash Rawiller will be in the saddle this Saturday. Has a great winning strike rate. I Am Me presents from the prestigious Ciaron Maher Stable. One to keep on side, has a real chance.

ROUGHIE - #5 Rey Magnerio
Rey Magnerio is worth considering for those looking to back an underdog. Strong finishing effort led to a win last time out. Last start performance, Rey Magnerio placed 1st over 1100m at Caulfield. Carried 58kg, guided by Jye McNeil, and started at $3.70. Has won from similar barriers before, so should be fine. Connections will get to witness their horse racing with Jye Mcneil in the saddle on Saturday. This jockey has plenty of wins under their belt. From the R D Griffiths Stable, you can expect a quality horse. Performed well here, winning 2 times from 7 starts. If luck goes its way, could be right in the finish.
