Plethora of big stars set for BBL 13 action

News Insights

  • BBL 13 gets underway on December 7th.
  • International stars converge on Australia for latest Big Bash installment.
  • Perth Scorchers will be looking to defend the BBL title – having won both BBL 11 and 12.
  • All 8 franchises will be chasing BBL glory, with final set for 24th January 2024.

When it comes to T20 cricket, there are a whole host of international stars that traipse across the globe, starring for the biggest franchises.

Once again in 2024, there are plenty of big names attracting the attention of punters and online betting sites alike, as BBL 13 gets underway.

Englishmen with a point to prove?

Reigning T20 World Champions England have long been the side to beat in limited overs cricket but following a poor 50-over World Cup, it does look as if there is a changing of the guard.

Two Englishmen who are travelling out to the Big Bash with a point to prove are Zak Crawley and Tom Curran.

Both men are T20 specialists and come with big reputations, but franchise cricket doesn’t come tougher than the Big Bash.

Defending champions Perth Scorchers have recruited well and the addition of Zak Crawley promises to be a fascinating one.

The Sydney Sixers meanwhile have spent a lot to pick up Tom Curran, a player who can’t currently get into the England T20 set up.

With the ability to change the game with both bat and ball, Tom Curran should be another player to watch during BBL 13.

Pakistani BBL power

Few countries in world cricket are as enigmatic as Pakistan and plenty of their key players are heading out to BBL 13.

Always players to watch with the biggest and best Australian betting apps, there are no fewer than 4 Pakistan T20 internationals in the mix, it should be a big tournament for all of them.

Three Pakistani internationals will be plying their trade for the Melbourne Stars. Imad Wasim will be looking to put runs on the board, Haris Rauf will be a threat with the new ball and Usama Mir adds an X-factor with his spin.

Over at Syndey Thunder, Zaman Khan has plenty of pace and he will be looking to give batters the hurry up on the speedy Aussie pitches.

Quinton de Kock ready to go

Following his incredible 50-over World Cup where he was the highest run scorer in the tournament, South African wicket-keeper batter Quinton de Kock will be a big draw in every game he plays.

The Melbourne Renegades have worked hard to get de Kock into their ranks and his partnership with Aaron Finch at the top of the order should be fascinating.

How far the Renegades can go in BBL 13 will likely depend on how Quinton de Kock fares and few would bet against the South African great having a big impact on the competition.
