Thursday’s NBA action includes a showdown in the East and a showdown in the West. The East-leading Cleveland Cavs will be playing host to the currently seventh-seeded Miami Heat.

The Cavs started this week with an overtime victory over the Trail Blazers to give them a 10-game winning streak. It’s their third double-digit winning streak of this season!

The Miami Heat have been fairly mediocre this season, on the other hand, but have won three of four. More importantly for this article, they have covered four straight and five of seven.

Both of these teams have been trending Over recently, at least more often than not. Miami has hit the Over in six of their last eight games, while Cleveland had done it in six of nine prior to their game Wednesday against Chicago.

Over the entire season, the Cavs lead the league with the best record of reaching the Over at 40-20. Miami ranks ninth at 33-27.

In their two previous matchups this season, both have hit the Over, surpassing the 226.5 total for Thursday’s game. We expect these trends to continue, and our NBA prediction is that the Over will hit in this game.

Kings-Nuggets Under 236.5 | $1.90 @ Betright

Sacramento has won four in a row and finds themselves firmly in the picture for the sixth seed. The Nuggets lost to Boston Monday and fell back to the third seed but they are still one of the top favorites to make the Finals.

While the Kings have covered in four straight, the key to this game might be in the point total. Both teams have hit the Under in four of their last five games.

Sacramento is also holding opponents to 97.5 points per game on their winning streak, and Denver has lately struggled against teams with good defenses. Our NBA expert tip is to take the Under in this contest.
