NBA Tips and Multi bet of the Weekend| March 9

Sunday in the NBA features a humongous regular-season game as the biggest story in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers, travel to Boston to take on the defending champion Celtics.

This is the final regular-season matchup of the biggest rivalry in the sport, and it is expected to be one of the most-watched games in recent history. Our free Multibet of the Weekend looks at this game and the Orlando Magic visiting the Milwaukee Bucks.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics

March 9th, 12:30, TD Garden

There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get straight to the stats. Since January 15th, the Lakers have the best record in the NBA with a 20-4 mark. Boston has the league’s fourth-best record during that span and has gone 12-3 in their last 15.

Boston went 9-6 against the spread during that span, and at 28-34-1 ATS for the year, rank 22nd in the league. L.A. has jumped to fourth overall with a 35-25-1 ATS record, going 12-3 in their last 15.

As for key injuries, Los Angeles will be without forward Rui Hachimura. Boston should have Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, both listed as questionable, available to play. Even on their home court, it shouldn’t be enough to cover, so our first NBA parlays pick is to take Los Angeles at +6.5, which Betright offers at great 1.85 odds.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics

March 9th, 12:30, TD Garden

Picking the Over/Under for this matchup might be trickier than expected. Both teams boast strong defensive squads but also top offenses. The 225.5 Over/Under is indicative of that.

The two teams rank near the bottom of the league when it comes to hitting the Over at about 46% of the time. Boston has hit the Under in six of their previous 10 contests. Not to be outdone, the Lakers have done it in eight of their last 10.

Their only other matchup this year ending in a 117-96 final is another indication of which way the trends blow. Our expert pick for NBA parlays is to take the Under at 225.5 with Betfocus providing great odds at 1.85.

Orlando Magic vs. Milwaukee Bucks

March 9th, 12:00, Fiserv Forum

The Milwaukee Bucks have been coming on strong as of late, while the Magic have been suffering through a pretty bad stretch. Milwaukee has won eight of its last 10, and Orlando has lost five straight.

Over that span, the Bucks have gone 7-3 against the spread, winning by an average of 11.1 points per game. Orlando has struggled against good teams lately and ranks next to last ATS as the road underdog.

Don’t expect the Magic to figure out their recent woes against one of the hottest teams in the East. Our NBA parlay pick is to take the Bucks to cover at -7.5 at a quality site like Playup, which has excellent 1.95 odds.
