Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend | 24/05/25

Victorian Bookmakers are gearing up for a big Saturday. So, I've looked at 3 key races that I like the look of and have made a multi for you to enjoy at Sandown, Randwick and Doomben. I'm a big fan of Air Assault at Sandown in Race 6. Also, I want to see Flying Embers run well at Randwick in Race 2. Eliyass usually runs well in these conditions and should be a solid bet in Race 8 at Doomben. At Sandown, the track is rated a good 4, should be nice for racing. The area around Randwick has received a lot of rain and the track is rated a heavy 9. They will be racing at Doomben on Saturday and the track is looking pretty good. Here is my multi of the day!

First up in the multi, Air Assault should be on your radar this Saturday. Came in beyond the top four last start, but still showing signs of promise. Doesn’t win a lot so far but can surprise. Air Assault ran at Morphettville on 10/05/2025, finishing 6th in a 1600m event. Jockey James Holder was aboard, carrying 56.5kg. Track was rated good. The starting position could allow him to conserve energy for a strong finish. Jockey Ben Melham will be in the saddle this Saturday. Has a great winning strike rate. Air Assault is a product of A J Gluyas's exceptional training, and the results should speak for themselves. Flawless at this distance of 1800m - expect another bold showing. At this range, has a career record of 3-0-0, including 3 victories. Strong chance to be in the frame.

For Saturday's racing, I think Flying Embers is a good inclusion in multi-bets. Flying Embers has consistently finished in the placings over the past three races. On 06/05/2025, Flying Embers lined up at Kembla Grange, finishing 1st over 1400m. Backed at $2.35, jumped from barrier 4, and carried 57kg under William Stanley. The draw could be tricky but not impossible to overcome. William Stanley will guide Flying Embers and given their record, they’ll give the horse every chance to shine. Flying Embers is in good hands with John Thompson, a trainer with a track record for producing top-tier horses. Dominates at this distance (1400m) - a specialist over this trip. With decent results on soft and heavy ground, expect a respectable showing on Saturday. Back it to win or place.

A finish outside the top four last time, but signs of improvement were there. Competitive on soft tracks, though consistency could be a concern. Competitive on soft tracks, placing in 83.3% of 6 starts, with 3 wins. An outside gate could see it settle in a handy position. On Saturday, Tim Clark will get to ride this one. A strong run between these two will be key. With a good bloodline, I think this horse can show us what he is made of. Great each-way bet.

Race 8 at Doomben on Saturday will be a Group 1 event, so expect a quality race. I like the look of Eliyass to run well as he likes the conditions on offer and he has a perfect 2nd-up record. Enjoy the Saturday racing and hope you pick some winners!
