NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

Round 23 is in done and dusted and what a round it was! The Panthers dominated the Storm to separate themselves as favourites, while the Broncos outclassed the Cowboys and the Sharks upset the Rabbitohs. Our multi of the week lost on its last leg again, with the Rabbitohs not turning up against the Sharks. We are back this week with MyBettingAustralia’s NRL Multi of the week and we have found some value across Betting Sites on the Eels, Roosters and Knights.

Brisbane Broncos vs Parramatta Eels

August 11th 20:00, The Gabba

For our first leg of the multi of the week, we look to the Broncos hosting the Eels. Both sides are coming into this one in fine form, with the Broncos winning their last 5 games in a row, while the Eels have won 7 of their past 10 games. The Broncos sit in 2nd spot and have all but secured a top 4 finish. The Eels sit in 9th spot, with each game becoming more crucial than the last. The Eels welcomed back Dylan Brown last week and he looked dangerous in attack, breaking the line and setting up a try assist. The Eels now have Gutherson, Brown and Moses back and are bound to look more deadly in attack.

While the Broncos are one of the best sides in the competition, we can’t forget the Eels’ ability to win tough games. They made the grand final last year and have already taken down top opposition such as the Panthers, Rabbitohs, Cowboys and Storm this year. With the Eels having so much on the line this game, I expect them to make this one pretty close. Just to be safe I am taking the Eels +17.5 @1.45 on Bet365.

Sydney Roosters vs Dolphins

August 12th 19:35, Allianz Stadium

For our second leg of the multi of the week, we look at Roosters hosting the Dolphins. The Roosters are coming off an impressive win against Manly while the Dolphins lost in a close game against the Kngihts. The Roosters have found some form of late, with a host of names returning from injuries recently. The combinations of Brandon Smith, Tedesco and the edge forwards have looked far better in recent weeks and the Roosters are actually looking dangerous in attack. The Dolphins on the other hand have been struggling lately, lacking depth after a number of forward injuries. The Dolphins have lost their last 3 and 8 of their last 10 matches.

The Roosters have an outside chance for finals footy and I expect them to play as if their season is on the line. The backline of Tedesco, Tupou, Smith, Manu and Suaalii should be far too much for the much smaller Dolphins backline. I think the Roosters will terrorize the Dolphins aerially on the edges, particularly the right. That’s why I am taking the Halftime/Fulltime Double - Roosters/Roosters @1.75 on PlayUp.

Newcastle Knights vs Canterbury Bulldogs

August 13th 16:05, McDonald Jones Stadium

For our final leg of the multi we see the Knights hosting the Bulldogs. The Knights are in tremendous form, winning their last 5 in a row to sit in 7th spot on the ladder, while the Bulldogs are coming off a bye. The Bulldogs season is all but over, sitting 3 wins behind 8th spot with just 4 games left. The Knights on the other hand sit just 1 point ahead of 9th spot with 4 games, making every game crucial. The Knights have looked like one of the best teams in the competition since Ponga went to fullback. This week he scored 1 try, assisted 2, broke the line twice and had 8 tackle busts. On top of their tremendous attack led by Ponga, the Knights have been incredible in defense, conceding the 5th least points this year!

With the Knights having so much to play for, in such rich form, coming up against a Bulldogs team with very little to play for, I expect them to come out far more fired up. If the Knights are serious about playing finals footy they need a win here and that’s why I am taking the Halftime/Fulltime Double - Knights/Knights @1.58 on PlayUp.
