NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

The NRL is more than a month old now, and we’re starting to get a feel of who’s hot and who’s not in 2024. Betting sites have some juicy odds this weekend for those who are keen to make a lucrative multi bet. Here’s why we say back the Roosters, Warriors and Cowboys to win big is the way to go in round five.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs. Sydney Roosters

April 5th, 18:00 AEDT, Accor Stadium, Sydney

It’s been an up and down time for the Sydney Roosters so far this season, with two wins from four appearances. While this might make some hesitant to bet on them, we see the silver lining. NRL betting sites are offering big odds for them to win by 13+ against the Canterbury Bulldogs.
Sure, the doggies have had one good performance this season. But the reality is they’re still very much wooden spoon contenders and we see this as an excellent bet to start off this weekend’s multi bet. Bookmaker bet365 pays a handy 2.00 return for a blowout here, which we think is very realistic, given the Roosters put 48 points on the Rabbitohs in round three.

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs. New Zealand Warriors

April 6th, 15:00 AEDT, Accor Stadium, Sydney

Speaking of the Rabbitohs, we see them getting another hiding this weekend. They finally got on the board for their first victory of the season in round four, but it was an ugly, four-point win over the Bulldogs. Not much to write home about.

The Warriors, on the other hand, have been building nicely with two wins from the last two rounds. Both these performances had flashes of brilliance, and we say it’s this weekend that it’ll all come together for New Zealand. Expect a big score line, with the Kiwis easily winning 13+.

North Queensland Cowboys vs. Gold Coast Titans

April 7th, 16:05 AEDT, Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville

Rounding out our round five multi bet, we suggest picking another big one on Sunday. The Cowboys set the pace this year, winning their opening three matches. While they were humbled by Brisbane last round, this weekend they have a much tastier prospect to bounce back against: the Titans.

The Titans have been by far the weakest team this season. That’s saying something, considering the Tigers, Bulldogs and Dragons are usually giving them a run for their money.

However, they’ve now conceded 28 points or more in their last eight matches, and we don’t expect that to end now.
