This Friday in the NBA is highlighted by a showdown between two of the best teams in the Western Conference. The current two-seed Houston Rockets will travel to Memphis to challenge the three-seed Grizzlies.

The Rockets and Grizz have been two of the more pleasant surprises this season. With Houston on a four-game winning streak and winning 10 of its last 12, they are looking very tough to beat these days.

The Grizzlies were on a tear of their own, winning six straight before a rough 143-106 loss to New York in their last game.

Rockets sensation Alperen Sengun is currently listed as questionable for this game, which might mean former Grizzly Steven Adams starting against his old team. Look for the Grizzlies to bounce back and fend off a hurt Houston squad in this divisional battle.

The Rockets and Grizzlies have already played three times this season, hitting the over twice in those contests. In the one game they didn’t, they fell a half point short. Expect a similar fast-paced frenzy on Friday.

The Rockets have hit the Over in six of their last eight road games and seem to play their best games against their best competition. The Grizzlies lead the entire NBA in points per game and own a league-best 30-17 Over/Under record.

Memphis has hit the Over in seven of their last nine games so the trends are all pointing in the same direction. Take the Over while you can.

One of the hottest teams of late has been none other than the Portland Trail Blazers. They’ve won five of six and are coming off an impressive 125-112 win over Milwaukee Wednesday.

After gaining solid footing in the Eastern Conference coming into January, the Orlando Magic have been struggling recently. They’ve lost eight of their last 10, including a 23-point blowout loss at home to these same Blazers a week ago.

That record coincides with the 14 games guard Jalen Suggs has missed this month. He’s listed as questionable for this contest and that seems to sum up Orlando’s chances as well. Expect the Trail Blazers to continue their winning ways and take the Portland Moneyline.
