The NBA Trade Deadline is fast approaching (Friday, 7 February 7am) and with recent seismic events in the league, there’s no telling who will be playing where.

It should be safe to say Nikola Jokic will be in a Nuggets uniform, however, as they host the New Orleans Pelicans Thursday afternoon. We’re analysing this contest and giving out a couple of NBA expert tips for it and the Orlando Magic visiting the Sacramento Kings.

Nuggets -10.5 |$1.95@ Betright

The Pelicans are not feeling confident coming into this game losing six straight and now leading the Western Conference in losses. They will also be without Brandon Ingram, Herb Jones, and Dejounte Murray for this one.

This will be the second of back-to-back games against the Nuggets in Denver. They lost 125-113 on Tuesday as Denver won their third straight. The Nuggets will be missing Russell Westbrook, who is out with injury and might be missing Aaron Gordon, listed as questionable.

It should not matter much against a depleted Pellies team, who Denver should easily handle as they gear up for a strong finish before the All-Star Game break. Take Jokic and the Nuggets to cover this one easy.

Pelicans-Nuggets Under 240.5 |$1.88 @ Playup

Next on our list of NBA expert tips for Thursday games involves the Over/Under for this very same contest. The Nuggets have hit the Under in three of their last four, including the last matchup against New Orleans just days ago.

The Under has hit in three of the last five Pelicans games. A big reason for that was the devastating season-ending injury to point guard Dejounte Murray, who ruptured his Achilles tendon on the first.

The Nuggets offense will also suffer in the absence of Russell Westbrook, who’s opened some eyes with how well he facilitates scoring alongside Jokic. Without their starting point guards, expect both teams to score below their average and take the Under.

Magic-Kings Under 216.5 |$1.85 @ Betfocus

This will be the first game in a Sacramento Kings uniform for newly acquired star Zach LaVine. It’s not clear if the team is trying to make a move to acquire a point guard after moving shooting guard Malik Monk into the role.

This after trading away All-NBA Third Team point guard De’Aaron Fox earlier this week for the aforementioned LaVine, a shooting guard/small forward.

The Magic have been in freefall, losing nine of their last 10. Six of the Magic’s last eight games have hit the Under and the Kings should be expected to struggle somewhat with their brand-new lineup.

Our NBA prediction for this game is that it will hit the Under.
