Excellent 10-race offering from Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Big races come thick and fast at the beginning of 2024 and Moonee Valley is the place to be in the eyes of many punters and online bookmakers. With ten excellent races to get behind on Saturday 27th January, all levels of punter at Moonee Valley will have something to get on board with.

Race 2: Ceerseven

In the second race of the day at Moonee Valley, there are plenty of options here that will be catching the eye of punters and Aussie bookmakers alike.

Topping the betting is the Michael Freedman trained Ceerseven, a horse that has demonstrated plenty of potential but is yet to put in the results consistently.

The 1600m trip should suit and whilst it won’t be plain sailing for Ceerseven, it should be the horse to beat in a fascinating contest here.

Tip: Ceerseven to win the race @ $2.80 (TopSport)

Race 4: Running By

The ante is upped in race 4, with A$130,000 in the prize pot and there are some very exciting horses in the mix throughout the field.

Running By is the hot favourite for this one, a horse that won impressively at Royal Randwick last time out and connections will be hoping that form can continue.

The likes of Toronto Terrier will certainly be in contention here but Running By is a classy operator who is full of confidence currently.

Tip: Running By to win the race @ $2.60 (GetSetBet)

Race 6: Mankayan

The Travis Harrison Cup in race 6 is arguably one of the biggest races on the card at Moonee Valley and there are a few horses that will fancy their chances.

However, Irish flyer Mankayan has been trending superbly of late and a very close second at Caulfield last time out will be giving backers some serious hope.

The 2040m trip should be an ideal fit and with plenty of other horses in the race searching for form, Mankayan looks a very good price to go all the way here.

Tip: Mankayan to win the race @ $3.80 (Bet365)
